Communication in the leading process: its importance for "engagement" in the workplace

Resumo: Introduction: The work process goes through constant changes related to the environment, the organization, the dynamics and the perception of work by the professional himself. Thus, when communication does not occur in an assertive way, it can bring several losses in this process of change. Objective: To identify the importance of communication in the leadership process for “engagement” in the work environment and its impact on professional productivity. Methodology: This is an integrative literature review, exploratory, descriptive, with a qualitative approach, which used articles, dissertations and theses published between 2016 and 2020. The materials were extracted from SciELO, Google Scholar, Virtual Library of Fundação Getúlio Vargas and institutional repositories. Theoretical Discussion: The studies that make up the theoretical discussion were organized into categories that discuss the importance of communication in the work process; the main characteristics of the leader today and his relationship with engagement; and the influence of engagement in the performance of leaders and followers. Final Considerations: Communication has a decisive influence on the performance of leaders and their collaborators, stimulates team engagement in addition to strengthening the links between team members, favoring productivity, individual and collective development.

Así, cuando la comunicación no se da de forma asertiva, puede ocasionar varios daños en este proceso de cambio. Objetivo: Identificar la importancia de la comunicación en el proceso de liderazgo para el "compromiso" en el entorno laboral y sus efectos en la productividad profesional. Metodología: Se trata de una revisión bibliográfica integradora, exploratoria, descriptiva, con enfoque cualitativo, que utilizó artículos, disertaciones y tesis publicados entre 2016 y 2020. Los materiales fueron extraídos de SciELO, Google Académico, Biblioteca Virtual Fundação Getúlio Vargas y repositorios institucionales. Discusión Teórica: Los estudios que componen la discusión teórica fueron organizados en categorías que discuten la importancia de la comunicación en el proceso de trabajo; las principales características del líder actual y su relación con el compromiso; y la influencia del compromiso en el desempeño de líderes y seguidores. Consideraciones finales: La comunicación influye de manera decisiva en el desempeño de los líderes y sus colaboradores, estimula el compromiso del equipo, además de fortalecer los vínculos entre los miembros del equipo, favoreciendo la productividad, el desarrollo individual y colectivo.Introdução: O processo de trabalho passa por constantes mudanças relacionadas ao ambiente, a organização, a dinâmica e a percepção do trabalho pelo próprio profissional. Com isso, quando a comunicação não ocorre de forma assertiva, pode trazer diversos prejuízos nesse processo de mudança. Objetivo: Identificar a importância da comunicação no processo de liderança para o “engagement” no ambiente de trabalho e seus reflexos na produtividade profissional. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, exploratória, descritiva, de abordagem qualitativa, que utilizou artigos, dissertações e teses publicados entre 2016 e 2020. Os materiais foram extraídos do SciELO, Google Acadêmico, Biblioteca Virtual da Fundação Getúlio Vargas e repositórios institucionais. Discussão Teórica: Os estudos que compõem a discussão teórica foram organizados em categorias que discorrem sobre a importância da comunicação no processo de trabalho; as principais características do líder na atualidade e sua relação com o engagement; e a influência do engagement na atuação de líderes e liderados.
