Analysis of the use of digital media in a technologist and an engineering course

Resumo: This study aimed to verify the main difficulties, access and use of digital media for students of two higher education courses, being a night technologist, and a bachelor of engineering full time. For validation, a quantitative approach research was conducted through the application of a questionnaire, the results are organized and presented in graphs. We observed that students use their mobile phone mainly to access social networks, email, listen to music and take pictures, while the computer is used for formatting texts, images, spreadsheets and presentations. Another point observed is that students who study full time pointed to access to the Internet as the greatest difficulty, while at night, the main one was technical knowledge.

Para la validación, se realizó una investigación de enfoque cuantitativo mediante la aplicación de un cuestionario, los resultados se organizan y presentan en gráficos. Observamos que los estudiantes usan su teléfono móvil principalmente para acceder a redes sociales, correo electrónico, escuchar música y tomar fotos, mientras que la computadora se usa para formatear textos, imágenes, hojas de cálculo y presentaciones. Otro punto observado es que los estudiantes que estudian a tiempo completo señalaron el acceso a Internet como la mayor dificultad, mientras que por la noche, el principal era el conocimiento técnico.Este estudo teve como objetivo verificar as principais dificuldades, acesso e uso das mídias digitais para discentes de dois cursos superiores, sendo um tecnólogo período noturno, e um bacharel em engenharia período integral. Para a validação foi realizada uma pesquisa de abordagem quantitativa através da aplicação de questionário, os resultados estão organizados e apresentados em gráficos. Observamos que os discentes utilizam o celular principalmente para acessar redes sociais, e-mail, escutar músicas e tirar foto, enquanto o computador é utilizado para formatação de textos, imagens, planilhas e apresentações.
