The vulnerables in the COVID-19 period: an integrative literature review

Resumo: A new, deadly and unknown virus, originating from the bat, emerged in late 2019 in Wuhan, China, spreading across continents, known as the COVID-19  pandemic, challeging social, economic and health politics. Objective: Investigate who are vulnerable to COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil and the World. Methodology: An integrative literature review of an exploratory nature was applied, analyzing articles published in the year 2020 that addressed the theme “Coronavírus” and “vulnerable people” Using the Mesh: “coronavirus”, ‘Covid-19” and “Epidemic”.Results and discussion: Scielo, BIREME e  Pubmed databases were used. In the inicial search, 155 articles were found, after the filter 20 studies remained and that at the end, 12 articles were used as the basis of this article. Conclusion: In this review, we observed that the risk of dying from Covid-19 increases with age, but it isn’t the main determining factor, since in Brazil the Scenario has been different from what occurred in other initial countries of the pandemic.

Objetivo: Investigar quiénes son los vulnerables a la pandemia del Covid-19 en el Brasil e en el mundo. Metodología: Se aplicó una revisión integradora de la literatura de carácter exploratorio, analizando artículos publicados en el año de 2020 que abordaban el tema “coronavírus” y “personas vulnerables” utilizando los Descriptores de Ciência de la Saúde (DeCS): “Coronavirus” and “Covid-19” and “Epidemia”. Conclusión: En esta revisión observamos que el riesgo de morir por Covid-19 aumenta con la edad, pero no es el factor determinante, ya que en Brasil el escenario ha sido diferente a lo que sucedió en otros países iniciales de la pandemia.Um novo vírus, mortal e desconhecido, oriundo do morcego, surgiu no final de 2019 em Wuhan, China, se espalhando pelos continentes, conhecido como a pandemia do Covid-19, desafiando as políticas sociais, econômicas e de saúde. Objetivo: Investigar quem são os vulneráveis ao SARS-Covid-19 no Brasil e no mundo. Metodologia: Foi aplicada uma revisão integrativa de literatura de natureza exploratória, analisando artigos publicados no ano de 2020 que abordassem o tema “coronavírus” e “pessoas vulneráveis”. com uso dos Descritores em Ciência da Saúde (DeCS): “Coronavirus” and “Covid-19” and “Epidemia”. Resultado e discussão: Foram utilizadas as bases de dados Scielo, BIREME e Pubmed. Na busca inicial foram encontrados 155 artigos, após o filtro restaram 20 estudos e ao final, 12 artigos foram utilizados como base deste artigo.
