Science teaching in the early years of elementary school: Teaching practice of teachers from the municipal network of Uruaçu, Goiás

Resumo: The research of qualitative approach developed with the teachers of 4th and 5th years of the Municipal Secretary of Education in the municipality of Uruaçu-GO aimed to analyze the National Curriculum Guidelines (DCN) and the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN) of the Ministry of Education for the Science teaching and whether new technologies have been used in science classes at the school object of study. The work investigated whether the implementation of the DCN has contributed to the pedagogical practice of the teacher and to the teaching and learning process of students. The investigation is justified by the fact that the training and practice of teachers has been a target of concern. The research had as source of data collection: written records (documental analysis based on guiding questions); structured questionnaire and observation of classes. The questionnaire was intended to identify the subject's profile, professional training, science conception, pedagogical actions and use of technologies. In addition to the aforementioned instruments, the researcher's oral speeches (discursive interactions) with the participating teachers were used as field notes. The observations of the classes were carried out from May to October 2015 and made it possible to understand the pedagogical practice used. As a final product, two Didactic Sequences were elaborated as the theme: for the 4th year, Life cycle of human beings: being born, growing, reproducing, aging and dying; for the 5th year, the theme was Basic Sanitation: treated water. It is concluded that the results of this study allow teachers to stimulate the teaching of Sciences and contribute to the students to have greater learning.

El trabajo investigó si la implementación del DCN ha contribuido a la práctica pedagógica del maestro y al proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje de los estudiantes. La investigación se justifica por el hecho de que la formación y la práctica de los docentes ha sido un motivo de preocupación. La investigación tuvo como fuente de recopilación de datos: registros escritos (análisis de documentos basados en preguntas orientadoras); cuestionario estructurado y observación de clases. El cuestionario pretendía identificar el perfil de la asignatura, la formación profesional, el diseño científico, las acciones pedagógicas y el uso de tecnologías. Además de los instrumentos antes mencionados, los discursos orales del investigador (interacciones discursivas) con los maestros participantes se utilizaron como notas de campo. Las observaciones de las clases se llevaron a cabo de mayo a octubre de 2015 y permitieron comprender la práctica pedagógica utilizada. Como producto final, se elaboraron dos secuencias didácticas como tema: para el cuarto año, ciclo de vida de los seres humanos: nacer, crecer, reproducirse, envejecer y morir; para el quinto año, el tema fue Saneamiento básico: agua tratada. Se concluye que los resultados de este estudio permiten a los maestros impulsar la enseñanza de las ciencias y contribuir a que los estudiantes tengan un mayor aprendizaje.A pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa desenvolvida com os professores do 4º e 5º anos da Secretaria Municipal de Educação no município de Uruaçu-GO teve como objetivo analisar as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais (DCN) e os Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN) do Ministério da Educação para o Ensino de Ciências e se novas tecnologias têm sido utilizadas nas aulas de Ciências na escola objeto de estudo. O trabalho investigou se a implementação das DCN tem contribuído com a prática pedagógica do professor e com o processo de ensino e aprendizagem dos alunos. A investigação se justifica pelo fato de que a formação e a prática dos professores tem sido alvo de preocupação. A pesquisa teve como fonte de coleta de dados: registros escritos (análise documental a partir de questões norteadoras); questionário estruturado e observação das aulas. O questionário destinou-se a identificar o perfil do sujeito, a formação profissional, concepção de Ciências, ações pedagógicas e uso de tecnologias. Além dos instrumentos citados, foram utilizados como notas de campo as falas orais (interações discursivas) do pesquisador com os professores participantes. As observações das aulas foram realizadas no período de maio a outubro de 2015 e possibilitaram a compreensão da prática pedagógica utilizada. Como produto final foi elaborado duas Sequências Didáticas como tema: para o 4° ano, Ciclo da vida dos seres humanos: nascer, crescer, reproduzir, envelhecer e morrer; já para o 5º ano o tema foi Saneamento Básico: água tratada.
