Intellectual property protection indicators in global software development

Resumo: | One of the great challenges is to establish mechanisms for monitoring the protection of intellectual property in global software development. Thus, the use of information on technology service monitoring tools can provide selection criteria by client companies. The work was carried out to select indicators and parameters related to the maturity of intellectual property in global software development. To better chose these indicators, the methodology was adapted to provide the monitoring of the maturity of the protection of Intellectual Property in Information Technology Services. Information from the scientific and technological literature and the information obtained from a structured questionnaire applied to actors working on IT services were used. The quantitative approach and structural equation modelling (SEM) were used for a sample of 19 IT professionals. The data analysis showed a positive relationship between IT governance and project (H1) and Project and contract (H2). As a result, 25 indicators were selected as potentially favorable for monitoring maturity in IP protection. |

Por lo tanto, el uso de herramientas de monitoreo de servicios de tecnología de la información puede garantizar los criterios de selección de proveedores por parte de las empresas clientes. El objetivo de este trabajo fue definir indicadores y parámetros para la madurez de la propiedad intelectual en el desarrollo de software global. Para la elaboración de los indicadores se adaptó la metodología Presión-Estado-Impacto-Respuesta de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos con el fin de monitorear la madurez de la protección de la Propiedad Intelectual en los Servicios de Tecnología de la Información. Se utilizó información de la literatura e información obtenida de un cuestionario estructurado con actores que trabajan en servicios de TI. Se utilizó el enfoque cuantitativo y el modelado de ecuaciones estructurales (SEM) para una muestra de 19 profesionales de TI. Los análisis confirmaron una relación positiva entre la gobernanza de TI y el proyecto (H1) y el proyecto y el contrato (H2). Como resultado, se seleccionaron 25 indicadores como potencialmente favorables para monitorear la madurez en la protección de la propiedad intelectual.O estabelecimento de mecanismos de monitoramento da proteção da propriedade intelectual em desenvolvimento global de software é um dos grandes desafios do setor. Assim, a utilização de ferramentas de monitoramento de serviços de Tecnologia da Informação (TI) pode assegurar critérios de seleção de fornecedores por parte das empresas clientes. O trabalho foi conduzido para selecionar indicadores e parâmetros de maturidade da propriedade intelectual no desenvolvimento global de software. Para a elaboração dos indicadores empregou-de metodologia com vistas ao monitoramento da maturidade da proteção da Propriedade Intelectual em Serviços de TI. Foram trabalhadas informações disponibilizadas pela literatura técnico-científica, assim como informações obtidas por meio de questionários estruturados com atores que atuam em serviços de TI. Utilizou-se a abordagem quantitativa e modelagem de equações estruturais (MEE) para uma amostra de 19 profissionais de TI. Por meio das análises confirmou-se relação positiva entre governança de TI e projeto (H1); e Projeto e contrato (H2).
