Resumo: | Several factors influence the productive performance and quality of the fruits of the passion fruit, among them, characteristics of the seedlings, management practices and cultural treatments, thus, the objective of this work was to evaluate the productive performance and the quality of the fruits of the passion fruit (Passiflora edulis Sims) grown under raffia mulching, under organic management and automated irrigation system. For that, five different volumes of water were applied during its cultivation, thus representing the treatments, which are equivalent to (T1) 610.8; (T2) 1018.1; (T3) 1527.1; (T4) 2036.1 and (T5) 3054.2 L plant-1. Weekly, throughout the off-season, the fruits of each plot were harvested and variables related to production were evaluated: number of fruits per plant (NFP), mass of fruits per plant (MFP), average mass per fruit (MF) and estimated fruit yield (PE); and also, variables related to post-harvest were evaluated, distinctly for yellow and purple fruits: longitudinal diameter of the fruit (DL); diameter of the central fruit cylinder (DC); pulp mass (MP); pulp yield (RP); total titratable acidity (ATT); hydrogen potential (pH) and the total soluble solids (TSS) content. Five blocks (cultivation lines) were considered, proceeding to the analysis of variance of the averages obtained. The results showed that the application of larger volumes of water reduces the number of fruits per plant and the mass of fruits, thus being able to harm the mass of fruits per plant and productivity. The quality variables did not show statistical differences, pointing out that it is possible to apply less water, without loss of juice quality. |

The quality variables did not show statistical differences, pointing out that it is possible to apply less water, without loss of juice quality.
