Resumo: The goal of this study is to implement the visual analogical pain scale in a low complexity ambulatory of a higher education institution in all the nursing attendances. This is a descriptive and prospective study, with qualitative analysis, which were interviewed the six professionals who work in the mentioned local. It were verified, that the pain control and relief are responsibilities and compromise of the professional from health area, therefore, between the interviewees it was clear the importance to the assistance and standardization of the attendances. It is necessary to accomplish the implementation of the visual analogical pain scale for a patient integral care, pain management and control, immediate intervention and subsequent revaluations, as well as to monitor the patient development in relation of the treatment.

Este estudio fue del tipo descriptivo, prospectivo, con abordaje cualitativo, donde fueron entrevistados los seis profesionales que trabajan en dicho local. Se verificó que el control del dolor y el alivio del sufrimiento son responsabilidad y compromiso del profesional del área de salud, por lo tanto, entre los entrevistados quedó evidenciado la importancia para la asistencia y estandarización de las atenciones. Es necesario efectuar la implantación de la escala visual analógica del dolor para una asistencia integral al paciente, manejo y control del dolor, inmediata intervención y reevaluaciones subsiguientes, así como acompañar la evolución de los pacientes en relación al tratamiento.O objetivo deste estudo foi implantar a escala visual analógica da dor em um ambulatório de baixa complexidade de uma instituição de ensino superior, em todos os atendimentos de enfermagem. Este estudo foi do tipo descritivo, prospectivo, com abordagem qualitativa, onde foram entrevistados os seis profissionais que trabalham no referido local. Verificou-se que o controle da dor e o alívio do sofrimento são responsabilidade e compromisso do profissional da área de saúde, portanto, entre os entrevistados ficou evidenciado a importância para a assistência e padronização dos atendimentos.
