Resumo: | This study aimed to analyze the epidemiological profile of foodborne disease outbreaks in the state of Piauí between the years 2015 to 2019. Information from the Notifiable Disease Information System (SINAN) database was used. of the TABNET program, using electronic means. As it is a public domain database, made available by the Unified Health System (SUS), there was no need to submit the work to the Ethics and Research Committee (CEP). This is a descriptive, ecological, retrospective study with a quantitative approach to secondary data. The analyzed data regarding the outbreaks of Foodborne Diseases (FDAs) in the state of Piauí, reported between the years 2015 to 2019, showed a large number of underreporting, few laboratory identifications, only 12.5%, consequently making the characterization minimal of the etiological agents and making it impossible to classify the DTAs. In addition, in most cases 78.95%, the food that causes the health problem is ignored, contributing to the lack of knowledge of the origin and preventing actions to control production and makes it difficult to clarify the population about the care they should take in order to reduce the risks. |

Se utilizó información de la base de datos del Sistema de Información de Enfermedades Notificables (SINAN) a través del programa TABNET, utilizando medios electrónicos. Al tratarse de una base de datos de dominio público, puesta a disposición por el Sistema Único de Salud (SUS), no fue necesario presentar el trabajo al Comité de Ética e Investigación (CEP). Se trata de un estudio descriptivo, ecológico, retrospectivo con un enfoque cuantitativo de datos secundarios. Los datos analizados sobre los brotes de Enfermedades Transmitidas por Alimentos (FDA) en el estado de Piauí, reportados entre los años 2015 a 2019, mostraron un gran número de subregistro, pocas identificaciones de laboratorio, solo el 12,5%, por lo que la caracterización de los agentes etiológicos fue mínima. y haciendo imposible la clasificación de los DTA. Además, en la mayoría de los casos el 78,95% se ignora el alimento que ocasiona el problema de salud, contribuyendo al desconocimiento del origen e impidiendo acciones de control de la producción y dificulta el esclarecimiento a la población sobre los cuidados que debe tener para para reducir los rayones.O presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar o perfil epidemiológico dos surtos por doenças transmitidas por alimentos no estado do Piauí entre os anos de 2015 a 2019. Foram utilizadas informações do banco de dados do Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN), por meio do programa TABNET, recorrendo ao meio eletrônico. Por se tratar de um banco de dados de domínio público, disponibilizados pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), não houve necessidade de submeter o trabalho ao Comitê de Ética e Pesquisa (CEP). Trata-se de um estudo descritivo, ecológico, retrospectivo, de abordagem quantitativa de dados secundários. Os dados analisados referentes aos surtos de Doenças Transmitidas por Alimentos (DTAs) no estado do Piauí, notificados entre os anos de 2015 a 2019, evidenciaram um grande número de subnotificações, poucas identificações laboratoriais, apenas 12,5%, consequentemente tornando mínima a caracterização dos agentes etiológicos e impossibilitando a classificação das DTAs.
