Resumo: | Objective: To describe the epidemiological profile of tuberculosis in persons deprived of their liberty in Brazil. Methodology: Epidemiological and cross-sectional study based on notified cases of tuberculosis between 2010 and 2019, based on SINAN databases. Results and discussion: 57,486 cases of tuberculosis were reported in Brazil, in a population deprived of liberty. Noteworthy is the increase in the number of TB cases between 2010 and 2019. It was identified that the population deprived of liberty with the highest rate of TB is male, between 20 and 39 years of age, claiming to be brown and black with elementary school. incomplete and does not receive government benefit. The absolute number of people who are diagnosed and notified with Tuberculosis and who live with Human Immunodeficiency Virus and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome are 4,107 and 3117, respectively. Conclusion: There was a high growth in the number of confirmed cases of Tuberculosis in people deprived of their liberty. The study identified the characteristics of the disease within private prison, as well as demonstrated the magnitude of TB in relation to the total number of reported cases. |

Metodología: Estudio epidemiológico y transversal basado en casos notificados de Tuberculosis entre 2010 y 2019, con base en datos SINAN. Resultados y discusión: se notificaron 57.486 casos de tuberculosis en Brasil, en una población privada de libertad. Destaca el crecimiento en el número de casos de TB entre 2010 y 2019. Se identificó que la población privada de libertad con mayor tasa de TB es masculina, entre 20 y 39 años, autodeclarada morena y negra con educación primaria. incompleta y no recibe beneficio del gobierno. El número absoluto de personas diagnosticadas y notificadas con tuberculosis y que viven con el virus de la inmunodeficiencia humana y el síndrome de inmunodeficiencia adquirida son 4.107 y 3117, respectivamente. Conclusión: hubo un alto crecimiento en el número de casos confirmados de tuberculosis en personas privadas de libertad. El estudio identificó las características de la enfermedad dentro de la prisión privada, así como demostró la magnitud de la TB en relación al número total de casos reportados.Objetivo: Descrever o perfil epidemiológico de Tuberculose em pessoas privadas de liberdade no Brasil. Metodologia: Estudo epidemiológico e transversal com base nos casos notificados de Tuberculose entre 2010 a 2019, a partir dos bancos de dados do SINAN. Resultados e discussão: Foram notificados 57.486 casos de tuberculose no Brasil, em população privada de liberdade. Destacando-se o crescimento do número de casos de TB entre 2010 e 2019. Identificou-se que a população privada de liberdade com maior taxa de TB é do gênero masculino, entre 20 a 39 anos, se autodeclaram cor parda e negra com ensino fundamental incompleto e que não recebe benefício governamental. O número absoluto de pessoas que são diagnosticadas e notificadas com Tuberculose e que convivem com Vírus da Imunodeficiência Humana e com Síndrome da Imunodeficiência Adquirida são, respectivamente, de 4.107 e 3117. Conclusão: Constatou-se um crescimento elevado do número de casos confirmados de Tuberculose em pessoas privadas de liberdade. O estudo identificou as características da doença dentro do cárcere privado, assim como demonstrou a magnitude da TB em relação ao total de casos notificados.
