Resumo: Some companies have been adopting corporate social responsibility practices by promoting social welfare, thus aligning themselves with the new demands of the market and society. This work aims to analyze the social responsibility practices adopted by a supermarket chain in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The methodology used was qualitative and descriptive. The data were obtained through field research, using semi-structured interviews. 15 interviews were conducted with managers and employees appointed by the Directorate of the respective supermarkets, with interpretative data analysis. The results indicate that the CSR measures adopted were restricted to recommendations, guidelines and legal requirements, common or applicable to the processes involved in the Supermarket Activity. There was also some resistance, a priori, on the part of customers who still insist on acting in disagreement with the security protocols established as preventive measures to COVID-19. In this way, the pandemic did not make social responsibility actions more comprehensive beyond the legal scope.

Research, Society and Development2022-05-31info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3032610.33448/rsd-v11i7.30326Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 7; e46311730326Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 7; e46311730326Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 7; e463117303262525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/30326/26057Copyright (c) 2022 Suzana Virgínia da Costa Régis; Aline Francilurdes Nery Vale; Alexsandra Batista Cândido Siqueira; Yáscara Pryscilla Dantas Costa; Elisabete Stradiotto Siqueirahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessRégis, Suzana Virgínia da Costa Vale, Aline Francilurdes NerySiqueira, Alexsandra Batista Cândido Costa, Yáscara Pryscilla Dantas Siqueira, Elisabete Stradiotto2022-06-06T15:12:05Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/30326Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:47:07.450587Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
