Instructional health technology for Parkinson's Disease caregivers: integrative review

Resumo: Objective: To analyze the instructional technology in the context of the quality of life of caregivers of elderly people with Parkinson's disease. Method: the study is an integrative literature review based on the guiding question "what is the importance of instructional technology in the quality of life of caregivers of elderly people affected by Parkinson's disease?". These searches started in October 2021 and went on until December 2021, whose bases consulted were: Medline, Scielo, Lilacs, Institutional Repository/UFSC, E-Publicações/UERJ, Portal de Periódicos - CAPES, IBECS, using the following keywords: "health of the elderly", "health education", "instructional technology", "educational technology" and "caregivers" with the use of some Boolean (AND). The sample was based on 28 studies selected for analysis, which ranged from 2015 to 2021 in the languages of Portuguese and English related to Caregivers of Parkinson's Disease and Health Technologies. Results: Of the 28 studies selected, 13 contributed to the analysis on strategies for improving self-care of caregivers of older adults with Parkinson's Disease with instructional technologies. Historical and conceptual data on instructional technologies could also be identified. Conclusion: The studies selected in this integrative review evidenced the effects of instructional technologies on caregivers' perception of their needs, both in terms of difficulties and interests. Several researches proved experimental studies that tested positive effects of this technology.

Método: El estudio es una revisión bibliográfica integradora basada en la pregunta guía "¿cuál es la importancia de la tecnología de instrucción en la calidad de vida de los cuidadores de personas mayores afectadas por la enfermedad de Parkinson?". Estas búsquedas se iniciaron en octubre de 2021 y se prolongaron hasta diciembre de 2021, cuyas bases consultadas fueron: Medline, Scielo, Lilacs, Repositorio Institucional/UFSC, E-Publicações/UERJ, Portal de Periódicos - CAPES, IBECS, utilizando las siguientes palabras clave: "health of the elderly", "health education", "instructional technology", "educational technology" y "caregivers" con el uso de alguna booleana (AND). La muestra se basó en 28 estudios seleccionados para el análisis, que van de 2015 a 2021 en los idiomas de portugués e inglés relacionados con los cuidadores de la enfermedad de Parkinson y las tecnologías de la salud. Resultados: De los 28 estudios seleccionados, 13 contribuyeron al análisis sobre las estrategias para mejorar el autocuidado de los cuidadores de ancianos con enfermedad de Parkinson con tecnologías instructivas. También podrían identificarse datos históricos y conceptuales sobre las tecnologías de la instrucción. Conclusión: Los estudios seleccionados en esta revisión integradora mostraron los efectos de las tecnologías educativas en la percepción de las necesidades del cuidador, tanto en términos de dificultades como de intereses. Varias investigaciones, demostraron estudios experimentales que probaron los efectos positivos de esta tecnología.Objetivo: Analisar a tecnologia instrucional no contexto da qualidade de vida dos cuidadores de idosos com Doença de Parkinson. Método: o estudo é uma revisão integrativa da literatura baseada na pergunta norteadora “qual a importância da tecnologia instrucional na qualidade de vida de cuidadores de idosos acometidos pela Doença de Parkinson?”. Estas buscas iniciaram em outubro de 2021 e foram até dezembro de 2021, cujas bases consultadas foram: Medline, Scielo, Lilacs, Repositório Institucional/UFSC, E-Publicações/UERJ, Portal de Periódicos - CAPES, IBECS, usando as seguintes palavras-chave: “saúde do idoso”, “educação em saúde”, “tecnologia instrucional”, “tecnologia educacional” e “cuidadores” com uso de alguns booleanos (AND). A amostra baseou-se em 28 estudos selecionados para análise, que variou de 2015 a 2021 nos idiomas de português e inglês relacionados aos cuidadores da Doença de Parkinson e Tecnologias em Saúde. Resultado: Dos 28 estudos selecionados, 13 contribuíram para análise sobre as estratégias para aprimoramento do autocuidado de cuidadores de idosos com Doença de Parkinson com as tecnologias instrucionais. Também se pode identificar dados históricos e conceituais sobre as tecnologias instrucionais. Conclusão: Os estudos selecionados nesta revisão integrativa evidenciaram os efeitos das tecnologias instrucionais voltadas a percepção do cuidador dentre suas necessidades, tanto nas dificuldades quanto em interesses.
