Reliability analysis of prestressed concrete beams with unbonded tendons in accordance with NBR 6118-2014: parametric study for load ratios and compressive strength of concrete

Resumo: Considering the several methods proposed with the objective of estimating the stress increase in unbonded tendons of prestressed concrete structural elements, not existing therefore one single guideline for this purpose, it is observed the need for a more comprehensive investigation on the subject. This work focuses on the simplified method for estimating the stress variation in unbonded tendons in accordance with NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014). With the methodology proposed by the code, reliability analyzes are carried out, using the analytical methods FORM and Monte Carlo, of beam requested by its average value of flexural strength, constituted by live and permanent loads. The analysis considered different values of the compressive strength of the concrete and a variation of percentage of the live load acting on the analyzed beam. A sensitivity study is also conducted that highlights the greater relevance among random variables considered. The values of the reliability indices highlight the conservative values of the stress increase in unbonded tendons obtained from the proposal indicated by NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014).

Este trabajo aborda el método simplificado para estimar la variación de tensión en cables no adherentes propuesto por la NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014). Con la metodología propuesta por la norma se realizan análisis de fiabilidad, utilizando los métodos analíticos FORM y Monte Carlo, de la viga solicitada por su valor medio de resistencia a la flexión, consistente en parcelas de carga variables y permanentes. En el análisis se consideran diferentes valores de la resistencia a la compresión del hormigón y la variación de la porción de carga variable de la solicitud de la viga analizada. También se realiza un estudio de sensibilidad que pone relieve la mayor relevancia de las variables aleatorias consideradas. Los valores de los índices defiabilidad destacan los valores conservadores de la variación de tensión en cables no adherentes obtenidos de la NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014).Considerando os diversos métodos propostos com o objetivo de estimar a variação de tensão em cabos não aderentes de elementos estruturais em concreto protendido, não havendo, portanto, diretriz única para este fim, observa-se a necessidade de investigação mais abrangente sobre tema. Este trabalho aborda o método simplificado para estimativa da variação de tensão em cabos não aderentes proposto pela NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2014). Com a metodologia proposta pela norma, são conduzidas análises de confiabilidade, empregando-se os métodos analíticos FORM e Monte Carlo, de viga solicitada pelo seu valor médio de resistência à flexão, constituído por parcelas de carga variável e permanente. Na análise são considerados diferentes valores da resistência a compressão do concreto e variação da parcela de carga variável constituinte da solicitação da viga analisada. É conduzido também um estudo de sensibilidade que destaca a maior relevância entre variáveis aleatórias consideradas.
