Resumo: Youth and Adult Education (YAE) is aimed at people who have abandoned formal or regular education. It involves activities in order to obtain new forms of knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. The licensed teacher in biology works in this teaching modality, as foreseen in the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education, promoting teaching to people who sometimes have difficulties and issues that involve the subsistence of families. Thus, the present study aims to analyze the situation of Youth and Adult Education in Goiás and Brazil, through an integrative review on the offer of YAE, and to verify the training of the licensed teacher in the area of ​​Biological Sciences to act in this teaching modality. An integrative review of information about YAE was carried out in Brazil and in Goiás. And the curriculum of three higher education institutions in Goiás was evaluated to verify the education of the graduate student in Biological Sciences or Biology to meet the needs of Education Youth and Adults. Despite the importance of official data, which points to a considerable growth in the demand for enrollment in YAE rooms, there is still a decrease in supply. As well as the lack of concrete and specific training of the graduate in Biological Sciences regarding the treatment and methodologies to be used in these classrooms. There is still a long way to go and the undergraduate courses in the area of ​​Biological Sciences do not present innovations or incentives to their students in terms of specializing in meeting the needs of this demand.

Implica actividades con el fin de obtener nuevas formas de conocimientos, habilidades, actitudes y valores. El docente licenciado en biología trabaja en esta modalidad de enseñanza, según lo previsto en la Ley de Lineamientos y Bases de la Educación, promoviendo la enseñanza a personas que en ocasiones tienen dificultades y problemas que involucran la subsistencia de las familias. Así, el presente estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la situación de la Educación de Jóvenes y Adultos en Goiás y Brasil, a través de una revisión integradora sobre la oferta de EJA, y verificar la formación del docente licenciado en el área de Ciencias Biológicas para actuar. en esta modalidad docente. Se realizó una revisión integradora de información sobre EJA en Brasil y en Goiás. Y se evaluó el currículo de tres instituciones de educación superior en Goiás para verificar la formación del estudiante de posgrado en Ciencias Biológicas o Biología para satisfacer las necesidades de Educación. Aún queda un largo camino por recorrer y las carreras de grado en el área de Ciencias Biológicas no presentan innovaciones ni incentivos a sus estudiantes en cuanto a especializarse en atender las necesidades de esta demanda.A Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA) é direcionada para pessoas que abandonaram a educação formal ou regular. Envolve atividades a fim de obter novas formas de conhecimentos, habilidades, atitudes e valores. O professor licenciado em biologia atua nessa modalidade de ensino, como previsto na Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação, promovendo o ensino a pessoas que por vezes apresentam dificuldades e questões que envolvem a subsistência das famílias. Dessa forma, o presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar a situação da Educação de Jovens e Adultos em Goiás e no Brasil, por meio de uma revisão integrativa sobre a oferta da EJA, e verificar a formação do professor licenciado na área de Ciências Biológicas para atuação nesta modalidade de ensino. Foi realizada uma revisão integrativa de informações sobre a EJA no Brasil e em Goiás. E a grade curricular de três instituições de ensino superior em Goiás foi avaliada para verificar a formação do estudante de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas ou Biologia para o atendimento das necessidades da Educação de Jovens e Adultos. Apesar da importância dos dados oficiais que apontam um crescimento considerável na procura por matrículas nas salas da EJA, ainda há uma diminuição da oferta. Assim como a falta da formação concreta e específica do licenciado em Ciências Biológicas quanto ao tratamento e metodologias a serem utilizadas nessas salas de aula.
