Current therapy in congestive heart failure: Non-pharmacological treatment vs drug therapy

Resumo: The literature review proposed in this study is intended to deal with the non-pharmacological alternatives and the available drug options for the treatment of congestive heart failure (CHF). The research was, therefore, carried out in the databases of the Brasil Scientific Electronic Library (Scielo), PubMed, Latin American Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs), Virtual Health Library (BVS), based on the following guiding question: What is the difference in prognosis of patients with congestive heart failure on drug therapy (IECA e ARA II) vs non-drug therapy? As results, it is concluded that such a prognosis depends on both therapeutic pathways, since the treatment of CHF demands treatments that seek to alleviate and control the symptoms, as well as guarantee quality of life for the patients.

Luego, la investigación se realizó en las bases de datos Biblioteca Electrónica Científica de Brasil (Scielo), PubMed, Literatura Latinoamericana en Ciencias de la Salud (Lilacs), Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS), a partir de la siguiente pregunta orientadora: cuál es la diferencia en el pronóstico de pacientes con ICC en tratamiento farmacológico (IECA y ARA II) frente a tratamiento no farmacológico? Como resultado, se concluyó que tal pronóstico depende de ambos abordajes terapéuticos, ya que el tratamiento de la IC requiere tratamientos que busquen aliviar y controlar los síntomas, así como garantizar la calidad de vida de los pacientes.A revisão de literatura proposta neste trabalho tem como intenção tratar acerca das alternativas não farmacológicas e das opções medicamentosas disponíveis para o tratamento de Insuficiência Cardíaca (IC). A pesquisa foi, então, realizada nas bases de dados Brasil Scientific Electronic Library (Scielo), PubMed, Literatura Latino-Americana em ciências da saúde (Lilacs), Biblioteca virtual em Saúde (BVS), tendo como base a seguinte pergunta norteadora: qual a diferença no prognóstico de pacientes com ICC em terapia medicamentosa (IECA e ARA II) vs a terapia não medicamentosa? Como resultados, concluiu-se que tal prognóstico depende de ambas as vias terapêuticas, uma vez que o trato da IC demanda tratamentos que busquem amenizar e controlar os sintomas, bem como garantir qualidade de vida para os pacientes.
