Resumo: This article addresses the issue of the influence of imaging tests on the prognosis of heart failure. The objective of this review is to verify the main predictors on echocardiography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging that are related to the prognosis of heart failure (HF). This is an integrative review of the scientific literature from publications from 2011 to 2021. The PUBMED, SCIELO and LILACS databases were chosen, using search terms identified in the Health Sciences Descriptors (DeCS). The main predictors of prognosis reported in the publications include: left ventricular ejection fraction (50% of articles), ventricular volume (40% of articles), cardiac chamber filling pressure (30% of articles), detection etiology (50% of the articles) and the presence of fibrosis (40% of the articles), of valvular alterations (30% of the articles), and of pulmonary alterations (30% of the articles). It is concluded that imaging tests provide information capable of predicting the prognosis of patients with HF and that the different imaging modalities contribute to improving data accuracy, prognosis and, consequently, the proper management and promotion of the quality of life of the person with heart failure.

Research, Society and Development2022-12-11info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3780410.33448/rsd-v11i16.37804Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 16; e344111637804Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 16; e344111637804Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 16; e3441116378042525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/37804/31715Copyright (c) 2022 Keyse Cesar da Costa; Fernanda Rochelly do Nascimento Mota; Karilane Maria Silvino Rodrigueshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessCosta, Keyse Cesar daMota, Fernanda Rochelly do Nascimento Rodrigues, Karilane Maria Silvino2022-12-18T18:26:42Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/37804Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:51:49.784857Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
