Perception and satisfaction in using the edpuzzle application using exploratory factor analysis

Resumo: | The user’s degree of perception and satisfaction of an educational application is a latent construct which, in spite of being clearly real and relevant, is not directly measurable, requiring a method that establishes a metric. Among the methods available in the literature, the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) stands out, in which among its purposes, the possibility of dividing a questionnaire into factors and identifying the most representative issues of the instrument used is emphasized. This article aims to extract and understand relevant factors that characterize accounting students of a Brazilian public university, regarding perception and satisfaction of the use of the Edpuzzle application. Among the results, it was found that the median of the majority of the items responded by the students, presented high levels regarding the degree of satisfaction and perception. With regard to the assumptions for carrying out EFA, they were satisfactory. Finally, it was noted that items related to the perception of learning, the benefits and resources that the Edpuzzle tool provided to students, as well as the level of student satisfaction with the use of the tool, presented relevant rotated factor loads, promoting a better and concise interpretation of the latent trait. |

Entre los métodos disponibles en la literatura, se destaca el Análisis Factorial Exploratorio (AFE), en el que entre sus propósitos se enfatiza la posibilidad de dividir un cuestionario en factores e identificar las cuestiones más representativas del instrumento utilizado. Este artículo tiene como objetivo extraer y comprender los factores relevantes que caracterizan a los estudiantes de Ciencias Contables de una universidad pública brasileña, en cuanto a la percepción y satisfacción con el uso de la aplicación Edpuzzle. Entre los resultados, se encontró que la mediana de la mayoría de los ítems respondidos por los estudiantes mostró niveles altos en cuanto al grado de satisfacción y percepción. En cuanto a las premisas para la realización del AFE, estas resultaron satisfactorias. Finalmente, se observó que los ítems relacionados con la percepción del aprendizaje, los beneficios y recursos que la herramienta Edpuzzle brindó a los estudiantes, así como el nivel de satisfacción de los estudiantes con el uso de la herramienta, presentaron cargas factoriales rotativas relevantes, promoviendo una mejor interpretación conciso del rasgo latente.O grau de percepção e satisfação do usuário de uma aplicação educacional é um construto latente que, apesar de ser claramente real e relevante, não é mensurável diretamente, exigindo um método que estabeleça uma métrica. Dentre os métodos disponíveis na literatura, destaca-se a Análise Fatorial Exploratória (AFE), em que dentre suas finalidades, enfatiza-se a possibilidade de realizar a divisão de um questionário em fatores e a identificação das questões mais representativas do instrumento utilizado. Este artigo tem como objetivo extrair e compreender os fatores relevantes que caracterizam os alunos de Ciências Contábeis de uma universidade pública brasileira, no que diz respeito à percepção e satisfação com o uso do aplicativo Edpuzzle. Dentre os resultados, constatou-se que a mediana da maioria dos itens respondidos pelos alunos apresentaram níveis elevados quanto ao grau de satisfação e percepção. Quanto às premissas para a realização da AFE, estas foram satisfatórias.
