Identification of medicinal plans used by residentes of the Serra Catarinense region

Resumo: | Objective: to identify the use of medicinal plants for the treatment and prevention of diseases used by residents of the AMURES region (Association of Municipalities in the Mountain Region). Methodology: a qualitative and quantitative exploratory descriptive research was carried out at the AMURES Health Consortium in Lages, SC, totaling one hundred interviews in total. Results: It was analyzed that 67% of the interviewees were female and 33% male. Medicinal plants were mentioned as a form of use due to family tradition by 43.6% of respondents. There were 200 quotes about who taught them to practice, with 32% citing that their grandparents taught them to practice. Respondents 75% stated that they taught their practices of using medicinal plants to their children. The medicinal plants most used by the interviewees were: marcela 11.41%, lemon balm 10.51%, mint 9.61%, wormwood 4.8%, artichoke 4.5%, chamomile 3.6%, of which 55.56 % were other plants. Of the interviewees, 94 people mentioned that they use medicinal plants in tea format, 5 use them on the skin and 1 mentioned that they use them on the scalp. Conclusion: With this, it was observed that the use of medicinal plants is still present by residents of the AMURES Region. |

Metodología: se realizó una investigación descriptiva exploratoria cualitativa y cuantitativa en el Consorcio de Salud AMURES en Lages, SC, con un total de cien entrevistas en total. Resultados: se analizó que el 67% de los entrevistados eran mujeres y el 33% hombres. El 43,6% de los encuestados mencionaron las plantas medicinales como una forma de uso debido a la tradición familiar. Hubo 200 citas sobre quién les enseñó a practicar, con un 32% citando que sus abuelos les enseñaron a practicar. Los encuestados 75% declararon que les enseñaron sus prácticas de uso de plantas medicinales a sus hijos. Las plantas medicinales más utilizadas por los entrevistados fueron: marcela 11.41%, bálsamo de limón 10.51%, menta 9.61%, ajenjo 4.8%, alcachofa 4.5%, manzanilla 3.6%, de los cuales 55.56 % fueron otras plantas. De los entrevistados, 94 personas mencionaron que usan plantas medicinales en formato de té, 5 las usan en la piel y 1 mencionaron que las usan en el cuero cabelludo. Conclusión: Con esto, se observó que el uso de plantas medicinales todavía está presente por los residentes de la región AMURES.Objetivo: identificar o uso das plantas medicinais para o tratamento e prevenção de doenças utilizadas pelos moradores da região da AMURES (Associação dos Municípios da Região Serrana). Metodologia: foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa do tipo exploratório descritiva, no local de atendimento do Consórcio da Saúde da AMURES em Lages, SC, totalizando cem entrevistas no total. Resultados: Foi analisado que 67% dos entrevistados eram do sexo feminino e 33% do sexo masculino. As plantas medicinais foram citadas como forma de utilização devido a tradição da família por 43,6% dos entrevistados. Houveram 200 citações sobre quem lhes ensinou a pratica, sendo que 32% citaram que quem lhes ensinou a prática foram seus avós. Os entrevistados 75% afirmaram que ensinaram suas práticas de utilização de plantas medicinais para seus filhos. As plantas medicinais mais utilizadas pelos entrevistados foram: marcela 11,41%, cidreira 10,51%, hortelã 9,61%, losna 4,8%, alcachofra 4,5%, camomila 3,6%, sendo que 55,56% foram outras plantas. Dos entrevistados 94 pessoas citaram que utilizam as plantas medicinais em formato de chá, 5 utilizam aplicando na pele e 1 citou que utiliza aplicando em couro cabeludo.
