Professional qualifications offered by the second-degree schools in the state of Rio Grande do Norte from 1971 to 1996

Resumo: | In this paper we try to analyze the professional qualifications offered as second-degree teaching by the state of Rio Grande do Norte (RN) from 1971 to 1996. The bibliographical study is based on Araújo (2010) and Germano (2011), among others, and the source of documental analysis was collected in the State Secretary of Education and Culture of RN. Our main purpose was to analyze if the qualifications offered were connected to the demands of the labor market, in order to understand how much economics interfered in public education in this period. To achieve this, we questioned: did the labor Market directly interfere in the second-degree courses offered by the state of RN? The results showed us that, though RN offered professional qualification in different categories, these offers did not originate directly from the demands of the labor market, and the reason behind this result is that there were fewer offers related to the primary economic sector (who had a major increase during the 1970´s and 1980´s) when compared to the offers related to tertiary sector. |

Este es un estudio de revisión de literatura basado en Araújo (2010) y Germano. (2011), entre otros, y el análisis de documentos, en el cual las fuentes fueron recolectadas en el Departamento de Educación y Cultura delo Estado del Rio Grande do Norte. Nuestro primer objetivo fue analizar si la oferta de educación secundaria estaba de acuerdo con la necesidad del mercado laboral, para comprender en qué medida el entorno económico interfería en el espacio de educación pública estatal. Por lo tanto, nos preguntamos: ¿el mercado laboral interfirió directamente con la provisión de educación secundaria en RN? Los resultados indican que a pesar de ofrecer calificaciones en todas las áreas de actividad, en RN no estaba totalmente de acuerdo con el mercado laboral, ya que las calificaciones del sector primario (que creció mucho durante los años 1970 y 1980) tenían un pequeña oferta en relación principalmente al sector terciario.Neste trabalho, procuramos realizar análises sobre as habilitações que constituíram o ensino de 2° grau no Rio Grande do Norte (RN) entre os anos de 1971 e 1996. Trata-se de um estudo de revisão bibliográfica baseado em Araújo (2010) e Germano (2011), entre outros, e de análise documental, no qual as fontes foram coletadas na Secretaria de Estado da Educação e da Cultura do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte. Nosso objetivo primeiro foi o de analisar se a oferta do ensino de 2º grau se deu conforme a necessidade do mercado de trabalho, para entender até que ponto o âmbito econômico interferiu no espaço da educação pública estadual. Para tanto, nos questionamos: o mercado de trabalho interferiu diretamente na oferta do ensino de 2º grau no RN?
