Implant installation following the digital flow: a clinical case report

Resumo: | Digital dentistry allowed the dental surgeon to perform dental procedures, in a different way, in the different specialties. In implantology, we can highlight guided surgery, which is performed after virtual planning, where the oral scanning with the patient's tomography is planned, using software. In this way, a surgical guide can be made using a 3D printer. The speed and precision of implant installation are the main advantages of this procedure, in addition to a more comfortable postoperative period for the patient, when the technique is performed without flaps (flapless). Therefore, this work aims to demonstrate to professionals in the area, the technique of guided surgery for dental implants, using virtual planning. The procedure was performed in a 66-year-old patient, in the maxillary premolar region, through digital planning, and an implant was installed using the SIN guided implant system. It was concluded that the guided surgery technique is a favorable technique, which provided greater speed, precision and faster recovery of the patient. |

En implantología podemos destacar la cirugía guiada, que se realiza previa planificación virtual, donde se planifica el escaneado oral con la tomografía del paciente, mediante un software. De esta forma, se puede fabricar una guía quirúrgica en una impresora 3D. La rapidez y precisión en la instalación de los implantes son las principales ventajas de este procedimiento, además de un postoperatorio más cómodo para el paciente, cuando la técnica se realiza sin colgajos (flapless). Por lo tanto, este trabajo tiene como objetivo demostrar a los profesionales del área, la técnica de cirugía guiada para implantes dentales, utilizando la planificación virtual. El procedimiento se realizó en un paciente de 66 años, en la región de premolares maxilares, mediante planificación digital, y se colocó un implante mediante el sistema de implante guiado SIN. Se concluyó que la técnica de cirugía guiada es una técnica favorable, que brindó mayor rapidez, precisión y una recuperación más rápida del paciente.A odontologia digital proporcionou ao cirurgião dentista realizar procedimentos odontológicos, de uma maneira diferente, nas diversas especialidades. Na implantologia podemos destacar a cirurgia guiada, que é realizada após o planejamento virtual, onde é planificado o escaneamento oral com a tomografia do paciente, utilizando um software. Desta maneira pode ser confeccionado, em uma impressora 3D, um guia cirúrgico. A rapidez e a precisão da instalação do implante, são as principais vantagens deste procedimento, além de um pós operatório mais confortável para o paciente, quando a técnica é realizada sem retalhos (flapless). Portanto, este trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar aos profissionais da área, a técnica da cirurgia guiada para implantes dentários, com a utilização do planejamento virtual. O procedimento foi realizado em um paciente com 66 anos, na região do pré-molar superior, através do planejamento digital, sendo instalado um implante utilizando o sistema de implante guiado da SIN.
