Resumo: | Manguita is a fruit understudied, common in the Northeast region of Brazil, which stands out for its sweet taste and slightly acid in addition to the pleasant aroma. The objective of this study was to evaluate the postharvest quality of mango var. Manguita stored at room temperature for 10 days. The fruits were obtained in Limoeiro do Norte, Ceará. The physical, physical-chemical, centesimal, antioxidant activity and bioactive characteristics were evaluated. The results were analyzed by means of regression, analysis of variance and the comparison of means by Tukey. The Manguitawas characterized as a small, rounded fruit with a high pulp content, with acid character and considerable availability of nutrients, among them sugars, vitamin C and bioactive compounds. Storage at room temperature did not influence the external or internal appearance until the eighth day of storage. |

El objetivo de este estudio fue evaluar la calidad postcosecha del mango (var.) Manguita almacenada a temperatura ambiente durante diez días. Los frutos se obtuvieron en Limoeiro do Norte, Ceará. Se evaluaron las características físicas, fisicoquímicas, centesimales, la actividad antioxidante y compuestos bioactivos. Los resultados se analizaron mediante regresión, análisis de varianza y comparación de medias por Tukey. La Manguita se caracterizó por ser una fruta pequeña y redondeada con un alto contenido de pulpa, con carácter ácido y considerable disponibilidad de nutrientes, entre ellos azúcares, vitamina C y compuestos bioactivos. El almacenamiento a temperatura ambiente no influye en el aspecto externo o interno hasta el octavo día de almacenamiento.Manguita é um fruto pouco estudado,comum na região Nordeste do Brasil,que se destaca pelo sabor doce e levemente ácido além do aroma agradável. Objetivou-se com este estudo avaliar a qualidade pós-colheita da manga var. Manguita armazenada a temperatura ambiente durante dez dias. Os frutos foram obtidos em Limoeiro do Norte, Ceará. Avaliou-se as características físicas, físico-químicas, composição centesimal, atividade antioxidante e bioativos. Os resultados foram analisados por meio de regressão, análise de variância e comparação de médias por teste de Tukey. A manguita se caracterizou como um fruto pequeno, arredondado e de elevado conteúdo de polpa, com caráter ácido e considerável disponibilidade de nutrientes, entre eles, açúcares, vitamina C e compostos bioativos.
