Description of a dairy industry effluent: treatment proposal

Resumo: Industrial activities generate too much effluents which, if not treated properly, generate pollution and damage to water resources, which makes environmental requirements severest. The project proposes to a dairy industry, specialized in the production of cheese bread, an efficient treatment of effluents, technically and economically viable of its waste generated in the process that is currently launched without treatment in nature, with a high pollutant load characteristic of waste from the dairy industry. For this, bibliographical surveys were carried out on the subject of effluent treatment, application of a questionnaire in the company and the physico-chemical characterization of the generated effluent with the purpose of elaborating the design of the Vermifiltro. Thus, the result of this work is the complete design of the treatment system that was proposed to the industry, composed of the results of laboratory analysis, sizing calculations, low plan of the implantation site, as well as the schematic design of the Vermifiltro. Therefore, Vermifiltro appears as an option to remedy environmental pollution, as well as showing itself as an efficient and economically viable technique in relation to conventional treatments, since the release of tailings in water resources directly affects its quality, changing its characteristics originates and causes in several imbalances, which evidences the necessity of the implantation of a treatment system.

Teniendo en cuenta lo expuesto, el proyecto tiene como objetivo proponer a una industria láctea, especializada en la producción de pan de queso, un tratamiento de efluentes eficaz y viable, tanto técnica y económicamente, de su rechazo generado en el proceso que actualmente se lanza in natura en el cuerpo hídrico, contando con una carga contaminante alta, característica de los residuos provenientes de las industrias de laticínio. Para ello, se realizaron encuestas bibliográficas acerca del tema de tratamiento de efluentes, aplicación de un cuestionario en la empresa y la caracterización físico-química del efluente generado con la finalidad de elaborar el proyecto de dimensionamiento del Vermifiltro. Por lo tanto, el resultado de este trabajo es el proyecto completo del sistema de tratamiento que se propuso la industria, compuesto por los resultados de los análisis de laboratorio, cálculos de dimensionamiento y el diseño esquemático del Vermifiltro. Por lo tanto, el Vermifiltro surge como una opción para sanar la contaminación ambiental, además de mostrarse como una técnica eficiente y económicamente viable en relación a los tratamientos convencionales, una vez que el lanzamiento de desechos en cuerpos hídricos alcanza directamente su calidad, alterando sus características que se originan en varios desequilibrios, lo que evidencia la necesidad de la implantación de un sistema de tratamiento.As atividades industriais geram uma grande quantidade de efluentes que, se não forem tratados adequadamente, geram poluição e prejuízos aos canais hídricos, o que torna as exigências ambientais mais criteriosas. Levando em consideração o exposto, o projeto objetiva propor à uma indústria de laticínios, especializada na produção de pão-de-queijo, um tratamento de efluentes eficaz e viável, tanto técnica quanto economicamente, do seu rejeito gerado no processo que atualmente é lançado in natura no corpo hídrico, contando com uma carga poluente alta, característica dos resíduos provenientes das indústrias de laticínio. Para isso, foram realizados levantamentos bibliográficos acerca do tema de tratamento de efluentes, aplicação de um questionário na empresa e a caracterização físico-química do efluente gerado com a finalidade de elaborar o projeto de dimensionamento do Vermifiltro. Sendo assim, o resultado deste trabalho é o projeto completo do sistema de tratamento que foi proposto a indústria, composto pelos resultados das análises de laboratório, cálculos de dimensionamento e o desenho esquemático do Vermifiltro.
