In vitro antioxidant activity and SPF determination in dermocosmetic formulations containig buriti oil (Mauritia flexuosa L.)

Resumo: | The goal of this study was whether dermocosmetic formulations made with artisanally extracted buriti oil (Mauritia flexuosa) exhibit photoprotective action in vitro. Two samples acquired from different producers were tested for this purpose. In vitro studies were performed to evaluate the quality of the oil, as well as the production of creams with varying quantities of buriti oil and the analysis of the Sun Protection Factor using the Mansur methodology. The preliminary stability was assessed in regard to organoleptic properties. During the preliminary stability analysis, only formulations with a concentration of 5% oil remained stable, despite the fact that a sample was rejected because it did not satisfy the ANVISA requirements. According to the SPF analysis, buriti oil has a sun protection factor of 4.9, which means that when added to formulations that already contain sunscreen, the oil improves and potentiates the SPF of the formulation. |

Para ello, se analizaron dos muestras obtenidas de diferentes productores. Se realizaron pruebas in vitro para evaluar la calidad del aceite, preparación de cremas con diferentes concentraciones de aceite de burití y análisis del Factor de Protección Solar por la metodología Mansur. Se evaluó la estabilidad preliminar en relación con las características organolépticas. En el análisis de la calidad del aceite se descartó una muestra por no cumplir con los parámetros de ANVISA, durante el análisis preliminar de estabilidad solo se mantuvieron estables las formulaciones con una concentración de 5% de aceite. En el análisis del SPF se encontró que el aceite de burití tiene un factor de protección solar de 4.9, que si se agrega a formulaciones que ya contienen filtro solar, el aceite aumenta y potencia el SPF de la formulación.O objetivo deste trabalho foi avaliar, in vitro, se formulações dermocosméticas preparadas com óleo de buriti (Mauritia flexuosa) extraído artesanalmente possuem atividade fotoprotetora. Para tal, duas amostras obtidas de diferentes produtores foram analisadas. Foram realizados ensaios in vitro, de avaliação da qualidade do óleo, preparo de cremes com diferentes concentrações do óleo de buriti e análise do Fator de Proteção Solar pela metodologia de Mansur. A estabilidade preliminar foi avaliada em relação a características organolépticas. Na análise da qualidade do óleo uma amostra foi descartada por não atender aos parâmetros da ANVISA, durante a análise da estabilidade preliminar, apenas as formulações com concentração de 5% de óleo mantiveram-se estáveis.
