Digital Information and Communication Technologies: use by teachers during the pandemic period

Resumo: Introduction: The world is currently experiencing a pandemic situation, caused by the VIRUS SARS-CoV-2, causing the Coronavirus, Educational activity has been undeniably affected in learning processes and teaching, educational institutions, at this time, have chosen to use strategies of teaching activities remotely. Objective: to identify the technological tools used by higher education teachers during the pandemic period. Method: This was a descriptive-exploratory research of quantitative approach, carried out with professors from a State University located in the Southern Region of Brazil. Results: Among the training to teach online, 71.6% (n=58) report not having received it and 28.3% (n=23) reported having received, among the 23 who received training, 17 highlight that they do not consider it sufficient to perform online activities. Conclusion: It is highlighted as fragility that few teachers used platforms for online classes and tools for video editing, which is reflected, how these classes are actually being conducted, as well as the lack of preparation of teachers regarding the didactics adopted through these tools.

Objetivo: identificar las herramientas tecnológicas utilizadas por los docentes de educación superior en el periodo de pandemia. Resultados: Entre la capacitación para impartir clases en línea, 71,6% (n=58) relataron no haberla recibido y 28,3% (n=23) relataron haber recibido, entre los 23 que recibieron capacitación, 17 destacan que no la consideran suficiente para realizar las actividades en línea. Conclusión: Se destaca como fragilidad que pocos docentes utilizaran plataformas para clases en línea y herramientas para la edición de videos, lo que se refleja, cómo se están llevando a cabo estas clases, así como la falta de preparación de los docentes respecto a la didáctica adoptada a través de estas herramientas.Introdução: O mundo atualmente passa por uma situação de Pandemia, provocada pelo vírus SARS-CoV-2, causador da Coronavírus, A atividade educacional foi inegavelmente atingida nos processos de aprendizagem e na docência, as instituições de ensino, neste momento, optaram por utilizar estratégias de atividades de ensino de forma remota. Objetivo: identificar as ferramentas tecnológicas utilizadas por docentes de nível superior no período de pandemia. Método: Tratou-se de uma pesquisa descritiva-exploratória de abordagem quantitativa, realizada com docentes de uma Universidade Estadual localizada na Região Sul do Brasil. Resultados: Dentre a capacitação para dar aulas online, 71,6% (n=58) relatam não terem recebido e 28,3% (n=23) referem terem recebido, dentre os 23 que receberam capacitação, 17 destacam que não a consideram suficientes para realizar as atividades on-line.
