The influence of the media on the eating behavior of adolescents: Eating disorders anorexia nerviosa and bulimia nerviosa

Resumo: The aim of the present study was to analyze how information carriers on social networks affect the induction of eating disorders, and how the internalization of social norms conveyed in these media acts as a diffuser of eating disorders in adolescents. Methodology: 75 articles were selected from Pubmed, Lilacs and Scielo databases in the last 10 years, where after inclusion and exclusion criteria, 20 articles were obtained to compose this review. Results show that social networks expand media expansion so that opinion is encouraged in young people along with psychological support.

Metodología: Se seleccionaron 75 artículos en las bases de datos Pubmed, Lilacs y Scielo en los últimos 10 años, donde luego de criterios de inclusión y exclusión, se obtuvieron 20 artículos para componer esta revisión. Los resultados muestran que las redes sociales amplifican la expansión de los medios, promoviendo así la opinión en los jóvenes junto con el apoyo psicológico.Objetivo do presente estudo foi analisar como os portadores de informações das redes sociais afetam a indução de transtornos alimentares, e como a internalização das normas sociais veiculadas nessas mídias atua como difusoras transtornos alimentares em adolescentes. Metodologia: foram selecionados 75 artigos nas bases de dados Pubmed, Lilacs e Scielo nos últimos 10 anos, onde após critérios de inclusão e exclusão obteve-se 20 artigos para compor essa revisão.
