Resumo: Objective: This article aims to discuss the injury prevention in childhood. Methods: Information was collected from scientific articles published in the last decade, searched in the SciELO database, in addition to updated documents and publications. Results: Safety is characterized as a child's right. Despite this, it’s constantly violated. Injuries in the pediatric age group are configured as a public health problem because they’re the main cause of child morbidity and mortality and have repercussions in kids, their family and in the society. As injuries are a predictable and preventable condition, it’s essential to discuss the associated risk factors and exemplify preventive measures to reduce the incidence of these injuries. Conclusion: It’s perceived that the injury prevention in childhood should encompass a set of strategies, covering the three levels of coverage - primary, secondary and tertiary -, in an active and passive way, and involving early education of caregivers, supervision and legislation relevant to the social context, having more effect to ensure increasingly safer places for children.

Apesar disso, ela é a todo momento violada. Research, Society and Development2022-07-25info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/3217110.33448/rsd-v11i10.32171Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 10; e124111032171Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 10; e124111032171Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 10; e1241110321712525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/32171/27612Copyright (c) 2022 Anne Caroline Arcanjo Santos; Bárbara Soany Lima Silveira; Larissa Rebeca da Silva Tavares; Magna Calazans dos Santos; Mattheus Anthonny Machado dos Santos; Izailza Matos Dantas Lopeshttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSantos, Anne Caroline ArcanjoSilveira, Bárbara Soany LimaTavares, Larissa Rebeca da SilvaSantos, Magna Calazans dosSantos, Mattheus Anthonny Machado dosLopes, Izailza Matos Dantas2022-08-12T22:23:03Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/32171Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:48:15.435079Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
