Resumo: The objective of the study is to present epidemiological data related to the closure of the first 197 cases of the remote monitoring service for patients with confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the city of Parnaiba-PI. It is a quantitative epidemiological study that followed approximately 950 patients with suspected cases of COVID-19 for 2 months, with epidemiological confirmation of 197 cases, where 196 of them were discharged from the service and 1 died. Analyzing the data of the patients who were discharged, it was observed that there was no difference in terms of gender distribution, the most affected age group was between 20 and 40 years and that most individuals did not have any associated comorbidity. Of the total number of patients, 142 underwent pharmacological treatment, of which only 26 had any side effects. The results obtained regarding the frequency of side effects were similar to data in the literature, as well as the incidence of frequency of symptoms also showed similarities in relation to data in the world literature. Of the total number of patients analyzed in the study, only 5 patients required hospitalization, showing that the syndromic surveillance system showed good results, being a way to intervene early and reduce the risk of worsening the disease.

Research, Society and Development2020-07-13info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/587610.33448/rsd-v9i8.5876Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 8; e453985876Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 8; e453985876Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 8; e4539858762525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/5876/5035Copyright (c) 2020 Renata Paula Lima Beltrão, Augusto César Beltrão da Silva, Alba Angélica Nunes Mouta, Paulo César Monteiro Florêncio, Bruna Caroline Ribeiro Beltrão, Ricardo Neves Couto, Jocerone Emerson Nogueira Oliveira, Samuel Davi Sousa Lopes, Danilo Andrade Lima, Camila Miranda Pereira Costa, Nadine Gabrielle dos Santos Rigamonte, Camila Maila Fontinele Beltrão, Demétrio Félix Beltrão da Silva, Daniela Machado Bezerra, Ilvanete Tavares Beltrão, Oswaldo Lima Almendra Netoinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessBeltrão, Renata Paula LimaSilva, Augusto César Beltrão daMouta, Alba Angélica NunesFlorêncio, Paulo César MonteiroBeltrão, Bruna Caroline RibeiroCouto, Ricardo NevesOliveira, Jocerone Emerson NogueiraLopes, Samuel Davi SousaLima, Danilo AndradeCosta, Camila Pereira MirandaRigamonte, Nadine Gabrielle dos SantosBeltrão, Camila Maila FontineleSilva, Demétrio Félix Beltrão daBezerra, Daniela MachadoBeltrão, Ilvanete TavaresAlmendra Neto, Oswaldo Lima2020-08-20T18:00:17Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/5876Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:29:14.906689Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
