Resumo: Tilapia production is among the fastest-growing fish farming activities worldwide. Feeding is among the main factors that impact the cost of production, representing about 70 to 80% in intensive rearing systems, with protein being the most expensive nutrient in the diet. Thus, the application of alternative sources that reduce feed production costs becomes relevant for the fish production chain. Dried Distillers Grains With Solubles (DDGS) are by-products obtained by the fermentation process of ethanol and can be used in animal diets. Its use in tilapia feeding began to be explored as an alternative source to replace soybean meal or fish meal in the ration, based on that, the objective of this literature review was to approach the use of DDGS in tilapia diets under the point of view of productive performance, immune responses and intestinal morphology.

La alimentación es uno de los principales factores que impactan en el costo de producción, representando alrededor del 70 al 80% en los sistemas de crianza intensiva, siendo la proteína el nutriente más costoso en la dieta. Así, la aplicación de fuentes alternativas que reduzcan los costos de producción de alimentos se vuelve relevante para la cadena productiva del pescado. Los Granos De Destilería Secos Con Solubles (DDGS) son subproductos obtenidos por el proceso de fermentación del etanol y pueden ser utilizados en dietas animales. Se comenzó a explorar su uso en la alimentación de tilapia como una fuente alternativa para reemplazar la harina de soya o la harina de pescado en la ración, en base a ello, el objetivo de esta revisión bibliográfica fue realizar una aproximación al uso de los DDGS en dietas de tilapia bajo el punto de vista del comportamiento productivo, respuestas inmunes y morfología intestinal.A produção de tilápias encontra-se dentre as atividades da piscicultura que mais crescem mundialmente. A alimentação encontra-se entre os principais fatores que impactam no custo de produção representando cerca de 70 a 80% em sistemas de criação intensivos, sendo a proteína o nutriente mais caro da dieta. Com isso, a aplicação de fontes alternativas que diminuam os custos de produção de ração torna-se relevantes para a cadeia produtiva de peixes. Os grãos secos de destilaria com solúveis, com sigla em inglês DDGS (Dried Distillers Grains With Solubles), são coprodutos obtidos pelo processo fermentativo do etanol e podem ser empregados em dietas de animais.
