Aging and meaning of life from the perspective of Viktor E. Frankl

Resumo: This article aims to point out and discuss the representation and social significance attributed to the last phase of human development, namely old age, to revise its concepts based on the thought of Viktor Frankl under the theoretical bias of Logotherapy and Existential Analysis, punctuating and problematizing the ethics that govern contemporary society, based on the will to meaning that is the motivational action of existence. The theoretical foundations of Logotherapy and Frankl's existential analysis were used in this work, through bibliographic survey, seeking contributions to the theme of this article. For mental health of the elderly it is crucial not to stop living what Frankl suggests that the person never is, but always becomes. A being that is never finished, but while he is living, he has a task or a mission to be accomplished, until the last breath. Live with courage every moment of life.

Live with courage every moment of life.Este artículo tiene como objetivo señalar y discutir la representación y significación social atribuida a la última fase del desarrollo humano, la vejez, para revisar sus conceptos a partir del pensamiento de Viktor Frankl bajo el sesgo teórico de la Logoterapia y Análisis Existencial. puntuando y problematizando la ética que rige la sociedad contemporánea, basada en la voluntad de sentido que es la acción motivacional de la existencia. En este trabajo se utilizaron los fundamentos teóricos de la Logoterapia y el análisis existencial de Frankl, a través de un relevamiento bibliográfico, buscando aportes a la temática de este artículo. Para la salud mental de las personas mayores es fundamental no dejar de vivir lo que Frankl sugiere que la persona nunca es, sino que siempre se convierte. Un ser que nunca se acaba, pero mientras vive, tiene una tarea o una misión que cumplir, hasta el último aliento. Viva con valentía cada momento de la vida.O presente artigo tem o objetivo de apontar e discutir a respeito da representação e significação social atribuída à última fase do desenvolvimento humano, a saber, a velhice, revisar seus conceitos a partir do pensamento de Viktor Frankl sob viés teórico da Logoterapia e Análise Existencial, pontuando e problematizando a ética que rege a sociedade contemporânea, tendo como base a vontade de sentido que é a ação motivacional da existência. Foi utilizado, neste trabalho, fundamentos teóricos da Logoterapia e análise existencial de Frankl, por intermédio de levantamento bibliográfico, buscando as contribuições para o tema deste artigo. Para uma saúde mental da pessoa idosa é crucial não deixar de viver o que Frankl sugere que a pessoa nunca é, mas sempre vai se tornando. Um ser que não está nunca acabado, mas enquanto está vivendo, tem uma tarefa ou uma missão a ser cumprida, até o último suspiro.
