Physiotherapeutic assistance to HIV / AIDS patients at a referral hospital in Paraíba

Resumo: This study aimed to analyze physiotherapeutic care in patients with HIV/AIDS at a referral hospital in the state of Paraíba from July 2017 to July 2018. The sample involved 79 records and 17 physical therapists, a study retrospective and prospective transversal, exploratory / descriptive with quantitative and qualitative approach. The inclusion criteria for inclusion of records were to have physical therapy records, to be between 18 and 90 years old and not to be distressed. In relation to physiotherapists using the inclusion and exclusion criteria, which were related to age over 21 years and under 60 years, not on vacation or leave and work in the outpatient, nursing or ICU, resulted in 17 professionals in the collection. It was observed that patients had a median of three daily sessions of physiotherapy with a standard deviation of + 0.9 which varied from one to three times a day during their stay in the hospital. Categorizing in motor physiotherapy, 68 patients received such assistance with an average of 13.1 days of care. Regarding respiratory physiotherapy, 58 patients performed techniques with the professional, having an average of 12.9 days during their hospitalization. This study had a deepening of the knowledge about subject that aimed to contribute in the clinical practice of the professional of physiotherapy. Further research is needed with larger samples aiming to show with greater precision and significance the results and importance of physiotherapy to patients with HIV/AIDS.

La muestra incluyó 79 registros médicos y 17 fisioterapeutas, fue un estudio Sección transversal retrospectiva y prospectiva, exploratoria / descriptiva con un enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo. Los criterios de inclusión para la inclusión de registros médicos eran tener registros de asistencia de fisioterapia, tener entre 18 y 90 años de edad y no ser sentenciado. En relación con los fisioterapeutas que utilizan los criterios de inclusión y exclusión, que estaban relacionados con la edad de más de 21 años y menos de 60 años, no estar de vacaciones o irse y trabajar en el sector ambulatorio, sala o UCI, dieron como resultado 17 profesionales en la colección. Se observó que los pacientes tenían una mediana de tres sesiones diarias de fisioterapia que variaban de una a tres veces al día durante su estadía en el hospital. Categorizando la terapia motora motora, 68 pacientes recibieron dicha asistencia con un promedio de 13,1 días de atención. En cuanto a la fisioterapia respiratoria, 58 pacientes fueron sometidos a técnicas con el profesional, con un promedio de 12,9 días durante su hospitalización. Este estudio profundizó el conocimiento sobre un tema que tenía como objetivo contribuir a la práctica clínica del profesional de fisioterapia. Se necesita más investigación en profundidad con muestras más grandes con el objetivo de resaltar con mayor precisión e importancia los resultados y la importancia de la fisioterapia para pacientes con VIH / SIDA.Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar a assistência fisioterapêutica em pacientes com HIV/SIDA em um hospital de referência no estado da Paraíba no período de julho de 2017 a julho de 2018. A amostra envolveu 79 prontuários e 17 fisioterapeutas, tratou-se de  um estudo retrospectivo e prospectivo transversal, de caráter exploratório/descritivo com abordagem quantitativa e qualitativa. Os critérios de inclusão para inclusão dos prontuários foram de ter registros da assistência fisioterapêutica, ter idade entre 18 e 90 anos e não ser apenado. Em relação aos fisioterapeutas mediante os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, que eram relacionados a idade superior a 21 anos e inferior a 60 anos, não estar de férias ou licença e trabalhar no setor ambulatorial, enfermaria ou UTI, resultaram em 17 profissionais na coleta. Foi observado que os pacientes tinham uma mediana de três sessões diárias de fisioterapia o qual variava de uma a três vezes por dia ao longo da sua permanência no hospital. Categorizando em fisioterapia motora, 68 pacientes receberam tal assistência com uma média de 13,1 dias de atendimento. Já em relação à fisioterapia respiratória, 58 pacientes realizaram técnicas com o profissional, tendo uma média de 12,9 dias durante sua internação. Este estudo teve aprofundamento do conhecimento sobre assunto que visou contribuir na prática clínica do profissional de fisioterapia.
