Methodology: A cross-sectional, prospective and analytical study. The sample consisted of citizens of both sexes and over 18 years of age residing in Maceió-AL. Data collection was carried out from March to July 2020 through an electronic questionnaire. An association analysis was performed between biosafety practices related to gender, age and education. Results: 424 individuals participated in the study. There was a prevalence of good biosafety behaviors by the female public, young people and individuals with schooling up to high school, except for the effectiveness of hand hygiene and homemade masks, proper disposal of masks and harmful self-medication behavior.
