Resumo: | Objective: Report the experience lived in the research entitled “Evolution of the Prevalence of Infection by Covid-19 in the State of Pará”, during the first stage in the city of Novo Progresso in Pará. Methodology: This is an experience report, about the experience during the epidemiological research of the government of the state of Pará. The study was carried out by the Government of the State of Pará in partnership with the Secretary of Health of Pará (SHPA) and the University of the State of Pará (USPA), in which the researchers provided hybrid training to carry out rapid tests for SARS antibodies. -CoV-2 antibody test® from Wondfo brand. The interview was performed using the sociodemographic questionnaire with the addition of the symptoms of Covid-19 and the performance of the rapid test, and finally the completion of the notification form. Results: There was the lack of collaboration of the population, which was dominated by political bias and denial regarding the severity of the pandemic, refusing to wear masks, maintain distance, in addition to the indiscriminate use of ineffective medicines for Covid-19, which were erroneously disclosed by authorities for early treatment, such as Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin, and they often acted aggressively when approached. Conclusion: Epidemiological researchs are essential for the analysis of population health parameters, however the lack of necessary inputs for the proper execution of the research, and especially the lack of local collaboration, are considerable adversities found for the progress of science in remote areas of the Amazon. |

Research, Society and Development2022-04-07info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/2807410.33448/rsd-v11i5.28074Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 No. 5; e29711528074Research, Society and Development; Vol. 11 Núm. 5; e29711528074Research, Society and Development; v. 11 n. 5; e297115280742525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/28074/24576Copyright (c) 2022 Lenise Ascenção Silva Nunes; Herman Ascenção Silva Nunes; Rafael Moab Sousa dos Santos; Raissa Nalanda Pinto de Siqueirahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessNunes, Lenise Ascenção Silva Nunes, Herman Ascenção SilvaSantos, Rafael Moab Sousa dos Siqueira, Raissa Nalanda Pinto de 2022-04-17T18:18:56Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/28074Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:45:36.572171Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false |
