Resumo: | Pesticides play an important role within society, but their overuse can cause problems for the health of the environment. Among these problems, soil contamination by pesticides has been little discussed, a matter of concern, since soil quality is directly related to ecological functioning, primary production and human health. Soil contamination by pesticides depends on different factors such as soil, soil and substance properties. The use of pesticides has been the target of different worldwide discussions, however, these discussions in the Brazilian scenario are even more necessary due to the vast consumption and application of these substances in the country. This review presents a critical view of soil contamination by pesticides within the Brazilian territory using as tools the calculation of the risk quotient and comparison between the reference values for Canadian and Brazilian soil. It is noteworthy that only 12 Brazilian federative units had data available on pesticide concentrations in Brazilian real soils (Amazonas, Bahia, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Para, Paraná, Rondonia, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Sao Paulo). The most detected pesticides in soil and in higher concentrations were Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane, Hexachlorocyclohexane and Hexachlorobenzene. In general, the study sites had particular exposure scenarios and were unrelated to the current use of pesticides in the country. In this context, the importance of further studies on pesticide residues in Brazilian soils is emphasized. |

Entre estos problemas, la contaminación del suelo por pesticidas ha sido poco discutida, un tema de preocupación, ya que la calidad del suelo está directamente relacionada con el funcionamiento ecológico, la producción primaria y la salud humana. La contaminación del suelo por pesticidas depende de diferentes factores como el suelo, el suelo y las propiedades de la sustancia. El uso de pesticidas ha sido el objetivo de diferentes discusiones mundiales, sin embargo, estas discusiones en el escenario brasileño son aún más necesarias debido al gran consumo y aplicación de estas sustancias en el país. Esta revisión presenta una visión crítica de la contaminación del suelo por pesticidas dentro del territorio brasileño utilizando como herramientas el cálculo del cociente de riesgo y la comparación entre los valores de referencia para el suelo canadiense y brasileño. Cabe señalar que solo 12 unidades federativas brasileñas tenían datos disponibles sobre las concentraciones de pesticidas en suelos reales brasileños (Amazonas, Bahía, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Rondonia, Río de Janeiro, Río Grande del Sur, Santa Catarina, San Pablo). Los pesticidas más detectados en el suelo y en concentraciones más altas fueron diclorodifeniltricloroetano, hexaclorociclohexano y hexaclorobenceno. En general, los sitios de estudio tenían escenarios de exposición particulares y no estaban relacionados con el uso actual de pesticidas en el país. En este contexto, se enfatiza la importancia de realizar más estudios sobre residuos de pesticidas en suelos brasileños.Os pesticidas têm uma importante função dentro da sociedade, entretanto seu uso excessivo pode causar problemas para a saúde do ambiente. Dentre estes problemas, a contaminação do solo por agrotóxicos tem sido pouco discutida, fato preocupante, pois a qualidade do solo está relacionada diretamente ao funcionamento ecológico, a produção primária e a saúde humana. A contaminação do solo por agrotóxicos depende de diferentes fatores como os edáficos, propriedades do solo e da substância. O uso de agrotóxicos tem sido alvo de diferentes discussões mundiais, entretanto, estas discussões no cenário brasileiro tornam-se ainda mais necessárias devido ao vasto consumo e aplicação destas substâncias no país. Esta revisão apresenta uma visão crítica quanto a contaminação do solo por agrotóxicos dentro do território brasileiro utilizando como ferramentas o calculo do quociente de risco e comparação entre os valores de referência para solo canadenses e brasileiros. Vale ressaltar que apenas 12 unidades federativas brasileiras tinham dados disponíveis sobre concentrações de pesticidas em solos reais brasileiros (Amazonas, Bahia, Maranhão, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraná, Rondônia, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, São Paulo). Os pesticidas mais detectados no solo e em maiores concentrações foram o Diclorodifeniltricloroetano, Hexaclorociclohexano e Hexaclorobenzeno. Em geral, os locais de estudo possuíam cenários de exposição com particularidades e não estavam relacionados ao atual uso de agrotóxicos no país.
