Intelligent use of natural resources and sustainability in civil construction

Resumo: | In the last decades, civil construction has been engaged to implement a series of initiatives aimed at modernizing urban infrastructure and promoting better environmental, social and economic conditions that translate into competitiveness for the sector. This article seeks through a comprehensive bibliographic analysis to better understand what technologies are being employed in building construction to promote the intelligent use of natural resources in both developing and developed countries. As a result, the main methods for better use of energy, water, and the effect that so-called "green" techniques have on the cost reduction of the enterprise are presented. The data on environmental impact, the importance of recycling and reuse of construction waste and the positive impact that the different certifications can bring to the projects are displayed. Knowledge of the technologies raised in this review may encourage industry practitioners and stakeholders to put in place sustainable building actions. |

Este artículo busca mediante un análisis bibliográfico integral comprender las tecnologías empleadas en la construcción civil para promover el uso inteligente de los recursos naturales, tanto en países en desarrollo y como desarrollados. Como resultado se presentan los principales métodos para el mejor aprovechamiento de energía, hídrico, y el efecto que técnicas denominadas "verdes" tiene sobre la reducción de costos de los emprendimientos. Se muestran datos sobre impacto ambiental, la importancia del reciclaje y reaprovechamiento de los residuos de la construcción civil y la repercusión positiva que las diferentes certificaciones pueden traer a los emprendimientos. El conocimiento de las tecnologías planteadas en esta revisión puede alentar a profesionales de la industria ya las partes interesadas a poner en práctica acciones sostenibles en la construcción.Nas últimas décadas a construção civil tem se engajado para implementar uma série de iniciativas com intuito de modernizar a infraestrutura urbana e promover melhores condições ambientais, sociais e econômicas que se traduzam em competitividade para o setor. Este artigo busca mediante uma análise bibliográfica abrangente compreender as tecnologias empregadas na construção civil para promover o uso inteligente dos recursos naturais, tanto em países em desenvolvimento e como desenvolvidos. Como resultado são apresentados os principais métodos para o melhor aproveitamento de energia, hídrico, e o efeito que técnicas denominadas “verdes” tem sobre a redução de custos dos empreendimentos. São exibidos dados sobre impacto ambiental, a importância da reciclagem e reaproveitamento dos resíduos da construção civil e a repercussão positiva que as diferentes certificações podem trazer aos empreendimentos.
