Evaluation of the relationship between Lean Philosophy and Organizational Culture: a bibliometric review

Resumo: The Lean Philosophy is a business strategy used to increase customer satisfaction through better use of company resources. The success in its application has a strong cultural dependence due to the involvement of people and the continuous improvement of the organization's internal processes. In this context, this article aimed to analyze the relationship between Lean Philosophy and Organizational Culture through a bibliographic study that allows the evaluation of the application of Lean Philosophy in Organizational Culture. The searches were carried out on the digital bases of Web of Science and Scopus within a period of 10 years, and the bibliometric behavior between the two themes was analyzed. A qualitative and statistical research was used to measure production indexes, as well as to monitor the development of Organizational Culture and Lean Philosophy and their relationships through the evolution of publications. The results found show a relationship between the two areas, as verified in the results of this research, Organizational Culture is an older theme and guides the way organizations behave, however, after the emergence of Lean Philosophy, it can be perceived that the authors of these two subjects are mentioned and related, demonstrating that Lean Philosophy can be associated with Organizational Culture in a way that starts to shape it for the benefit of the client.

El éxito en su aplicación tiene una fuerte dependencia cultural debido a la implicación de las personas y la mejora continua de los procesos internos de la organización. En este contexto, este artículo tuvo como objetivo analizar la relación entre Filosofía Lean y Cultura Organizacional, a través de una revisión sistemática de la literatura sustentada en un estudio bibliométrico para evaluar la aplicación de la Filosofía Lean en la Cultura Organizacional. Las búsquedas se realizaron en las bases digitales Web Of Science y Scopus en un plazo de 10 años y se analizó el comportamiento bibliométrico entre los dos temas. Se utilizó investigación cualitativa y cuantitativa con el uso de estadísticas para medir los índices de producción académica, así como analizar el desarrollo de la Cultura Organizacional y la Filosofía Lean, como áreas de investigación científica, relacionadas a través de la evolución de las publicaciones. Los resultados encontrados muestran una relación entre las dos áreas, como se verifica en los resultados de esta investigación, la Cultura Organizacional es un tema más antiguo que guía la forma en que se comportan las organizaciones, sin embargo, luego del surgimiento de la Filosofía Lean, se puede notar que los autores estos dos temas se mencionan y relacionan, demostrando que la Filosofía Lean puede asociarse con la Cultura Organizacional de una manera que comienza a moldearla en beneficio del cliente.A Filosofia Lean é uma estratégia de negócios utilizada para aumentar a satisfação dos clientes, através da melhor utilização dos recursos da empresa. O êxito na sua aplicação tem uma forte dependência cultural devido o envolvimento das pessoas e na melhoria contínua dos processos internos da organização. Neste contexto, este artigo teve por objetivo analisar a relação entre a Filosofia Lean e a Cultura Organizacional, por meio de uma revisão sistemática da literatura amparada por um estudo bibliométrico para avaliar a aplicação da Filosofia Lean na Cultura Organizacional. As buscas foram realizadas nas bases digitais Web Of Science e Scopus dentro de um período de 10 anos, e analisados os comportamentos bibliométricos existentes entre os dois temas. Foi utilizada uma pesquisa qualitativa e quantitativa com uso de estatística para medir índices de produção acadêmica, bem como analisado o desenvolvimento da Cultura Organizacional e a Filosofia Lean, enquanto áreas de pesquisa científica, relacionadas por meio da evolução das publicações.
