Continuing education during the Covid-19 pandemic: challenges and perspectives of teachers for post-pandemic education

Resumo: The objective of this paper was to analyze the narratives of Basic Education teachers in the municipality of Novo Gama, GO regarding continuing education in times of pandemic, the challenges faced in working with virtual environments for teaching and learning and the perspectives for teaching in the period post-pandemic Covid-19. For this, this research adopted assumptions of qualitative research. Methodological procedures for documentary, bibliographic and empirical research were used. Documentary research and bibliographic research made it possible to contextualize the continuing education of teachers in the time of Covid-19. The empirical research made it possible to identify the challenges faced by teachers in the early years of the municipality of Novo Gama, GO when using virtual teaching and learning environments, as well as interpreting, through the essence of the interviewees' messages, perspectives for teaching in the period post-pandemic Covid-19. In the results, three categories of content analysis are presented: the continuing education of teachers in times of Covid-19 pandemic; the challenges faced by teachers in working with virtual teaching and learning environments; teachers' perspectives for post-pandemic education at Covid-19. Therefore, we conclude that, for the success of post-pandemic education, it is essential that teachers in the early years of Basic Education in the municipality of Novo Gama, GO acquire new knowledge for professional development, through continuous training, in order to enhance actions in virtual teaching and learning environments.

Para ello, esta investigación adoptó supuestos de investigación cualitativa. Se utilizaron procedimientos metodológicos para la investigación documental, bibliográfica y empírica. La investigación documental y la investigación bibliográfica permitieron contextualizar la formación continua de los docentes en la época del Covid-19. La investigación empírica permitió identificar los desafíos que enfrentaron los docentes en los primeros años de la enseñanza básica del municipio de Novo Gama, GO, al utilizar entornos virtuales de enseñanza y aprendizaje, así como interpretar, a través de la esencia de los mensajes de los entrevistados, las perspectivas para la docencia. en el período posterior a la pandemia de Covid-19. En los resultados, se presentan tres categorías de análisis de contenido: la educación continua de los maestros en tiempos de la pandemia Covid-19; los desafíos que enfrentan los docentes al trabajar con entornos virtuales de enseñanza y aprendizaje; perspectivas de los maestros para la educación pospandémica en Covid-19. Por tanto, concluimos que, para el éxito de la educación pospandémica, es fundamental que los docentes en los primeros años de Educación Básica del municipio de Novo Gama, GO, adquieran nuevos conocimientos para el desarrollo profesional, a través de la formación continua, con el fin de potenciar acciones en entornos virtuales de enseñanza y aprendizaje.O objetivo deste artigo foi analisar as narrativas de cinco professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental I da Educação Básica de cinco escolas públicas da Secretaria Municipal de Educação do município de Novo Gama, GO, em relação à formação continuada em tempos de pandemia, aos desafios enfrentados em trabalhar com ambientes virtuais de ensino e aprendizagem e às perspectivas para o ensino no período pós-pandemia da Covid-19. Para tanto, esta pesquisa adotou pressupostos da pesquisa qualitativa. Foram utilizados procedimentos metodológicos da pesquisa documental, bibliográfica e empírica. A pesquisa documental e a investigação bibliográfica possibilitaram contextualizar a formação continuada de professores em tempos de Covid-19. A pesquisa empírica possibilitou identificar os desafios enfrentados pelos professores dos anos iniciais do Ensino Fundamental no município de Novo Gama, GO, ao utilizar ambientes virtuais de ensino e aprendizagem, bem como interpretar, por meio da essência das mensagens dos entrevistados, as perspectivas para o ensino no período pós-pandemia da Covid-19. Nos resultados são apresentadas três categorias de análise de conteúdo: a formação continuada de professores em tempos de pandemia da Covid-19; os desafios enfrentados por professores em trabalhar com ambientes virtuais de ensino e aprendizagem; as perspectivas de professores para o ensino pós-pandemia da Covid-19.
