Resumo: Objective: to analyze through the literature, the safety of neonates under intensive care governed by the nursing team. Methods: narrative review, carried out in the LILACS, SciELO and BDENF databases, based on studies published between 2015 and 2020. Results: the findings of this study made it possible to assimilate the reality of the nursing team and the needs of neonates and patients under care intensive care for the safety of the neonate. Therefore, it was possible to build knowledge about nursing care and we observed that the nursing team understands the importance of communication to ensure the safety of newborns, however, this communication is not effective and the consolidation of the neonatal safety culture presents several difficulties. Conclusion: this study allowed the elaboration of reflections that were not limited to describing the observed facts.

Por lo tanto, fue posible construir conocimiento sobre el cuidado de enfermería y se observó que el equipo de enfermería comprende la importancia de la comunicación para garantizar la seguridad de los recién nacidos, sin embargo, esta comunicación no es efectiva y la consolidación de la cultura de seguridad neonatal presenta varias dificultades. Conclusión: este estudio permitió la elaboración de reflexiones que no se limitaron a describir los hechos observados.Objetivo: analisar através da literatura, a segurança de neonatos sob cuidados intensivos regida pela equipe de enfermagem. Métodos: revisão narrativa, realizada nas bases de dados LILACS, SciELO e BDENF, a partir de estudos publicados entre 2015 a 2020. Resultados: os achados deste estudo possibilitaram assimilar a realidade da equipe de enfermagem e as necessidades dos neonatos e dos pacientes sob cuidados intensivos quanto a segurança do neonato. Diante disso, foi possível construir um conhecimento acerca dos cuidados de enfermagem e observamos que a equipe de enfermagem compreende a importância da comunicação para garantir a segurança dos neonatos, todavia, essa comunicação não é efetiva e a consolidação da cultura da segurança neonatal apresenta diversas dificuldades.
