Healing evaluation of medicinal plants front dermal damages in murine model: a comparative analysis

Resumo: The skin is one of the most important organs of the human body, and this makes healing an event of fundamental importance. In this way, medicinal plants have gained ground in the management of lesions as they demonstrate excellent clinical results, bringing rapid and effective tissue repair and reducing complications. To evaluate the effect of topical treatment of two formulations containing the hydroalcoholic extract of Anacardium occidentale L. and of the fresh extract of Aloe Vera L. on the healing of excisional wounds in Swiss mice. The hydroalcoholic extract of the cashews of the purple cashew tree obtained through a dynamic maceration process for 10 days and the fresh extract of aloe vera were used. In the experiment 40 mice were used. To evaluate the healing activity, the mice were divided into four groups of ten animals each (n = 10): GCP- Positive Control Group using Fibrinase®, GCN- Negative Control Group using the base cream without extract, GT-Ao Treatment Group Anacardium occidentale L and GT-Av Aloe Vera L. treatment group. The GT-Ao presented a thick leukocyte fibrin crust during the treatment, without interfering in the scar repair. The GT-Av expressed better data, such as 100% of the group healed on the 14th day and better rates of contraction throughout the study. Both treatment groups did not present any events that would infer healing. The results demonstrate that the topical use of the aforementioned plants used in excisional wounds in mice presents promising results for wound healing.

De esta manera, las plantas medicinales han ganado terreno en el manejo de las lesiones, ya que demuestran excelentes resultados clínicos, brindando una reparación tisular rápida y efectiva y reduciendo las complicaciones. Evaluar el efecto del tratamiento tópico de dos formulaciones que contienen el extracto hidroalcohólico de Anacardium occidentale L. y el extracto fresco de Aloe Vera L. en la curación de heridas por escisión en ratones suizos. Se utilizó el extracto hidroalcohólico de los anacardos del anacardo morado obtenido mediante un proceso de maceración dinámico durante 10 días y el extracto fresco de aloe vera. En el experimento se usaron 40 ratones. Para evaluar la actividad curativa, los ratones se dividieron en cuatro grupos de diez animales cada uno (n = 10): GCP- Grupo de control positivo usando Fibrinase®, GCN- Grupo de control negativo usando la crema base sin extracto, Grupo de tratamiento GT-Ao Anacardium occidentale Grupo de tratamiento L y GT-Av Aloe Vera L. El GT-Ao presentó una corteza gruesa de fibrina leucocitaria durante el tratamiento, sin interferir con la reparación curativa. El GT-Av expresó mejores datos, como el 100% del grupo sanado el día 14 y mejores tasas de contracción durante todo el estudio. Ambos grupos de tratamiento no presentaron eventos que pudieran inferir la curación. Los resultados demuestran que el uso tópico de las plantas antes mencionadas utilizadas en heridas por escisión en ratones presenta resultados prometedores para la curación de heridas.A pele é um dos mais importantes órgãos do corpo humano, e isto faz com que a cicatrização seja um evento de fundamental importância. Desse modo, as plantas medicinais têm ganhado espaço no manejo de lesões por demonstrarem ótimos resultados clínico, trazendo rápido e efetivo reparo tecidual e reduzindo complicações. Avaliar o efeito do tratamento tópico de duas formulações contendo o extrato hidroalcoólico de Anacardium occidentale L. e do extrato in-natura da Aloe Vera L. sobre a cicatrização de feridas excisionais em camundongos Swiss. Foi utilizado o extrato hidroalcoólico das cascas do cajueiro-roxo obtido através de um processo de maceração dinâmica durante 10 dias e o extrato in natura da babosa. No experimento foram utilizados 40 camundongos. Para avaliação da atividade cicatrizante os camundongos foram distribuídos em quatro grupos de dez animais cada (n=10): GCP- Grupo Controle Positivo utilizando Fibrinase®, GCN- Grupo Controle Negativo utilizando o creme base sem extrato, GT-Ao Grupo Tratamento Anacardium occidentale L e GT-Av Grupo tratamento Aloe Vera L. O GT-Ao apresentou crosta fibrino leucocitária espessa durante o tratamento, não interferindo no reparo cicatricial. O GT-Av expressou melhores dados, como 100% do grupo cicatrizado ao 14° dia e melhores índices de contração durante todo estudo. Ambos os grupos tratamento não apresentaram eventos que interferissem na cicatrização.
