The perception of students and teachers about the teaching and learning of the straight circular cylinder

Resumo: | This work aimed to map the difficulties found in the teaching and learning of cylinder. To this end, a literature review on the teaching of spatial geometry was carried out. Subsequently, two questionnaires were applied, one for students graduating in the subject and another for basic education teachers. To obtain the total sample, the convenience sampling technique was used, which totaled a sample of 100 students from the 2nd year and the 3rd year of high school and 41 teachers. Data analysis was carried out through microgenetic analysis and discourse analysis, which validated the experiment carried out, as they pointed out as a result the evidence of learning present between students and teachers participating in the experiment. It was concluded that the referred content is approached in a “traditional” way, in which most teachers “present the concepts, examples, solved exercises and exercises proposed in the textbook”, in addition to “elaborating a list of exercises or handout for be solved by the students ”to fix the content, and generally evaluate the students through “tests”. |

Para ello, se realizó una revisión de la literatura sobre la enseñanza de la geometría espacial, posteriormente se aplicaron dos cuestionarios, uno para estudiantes egresados de la asignatura y otro para docentes de educación básica. Para la obtención de la muestra total se utilizó la técnica de muestreo por conveniencia, la cual totalizó una muestra de 100 alumnos de 2º y 3º de bachillerato y 41 docentes. El análisis de los datos se realizó mediante análisis microgenético y análisis del discurso, que validó el experimento realizado, ya que señalaron como resultado las evidencias de aprendizajes presentes entre estudiantes y docentes participantes en el experimento. Se concluyó que el referido contenido se aborda de manera “tradicional”, en la que la mayoría de los docentes “presentan los conceptos, ejemplos, ejercicios resueltos y ejercicios propuestos en el libro de texto”, además de “elaborar una lista de ejercicios o folleto para ser resuelto por los estudiantes ”para fijar el contenido, y generalmente evaluar a los estudiantes a través de“ pruebas ”.Este trabalho teve como objetivo mapear as dificuldades encontradas no ensino e aprendizagem de cilindro. Para tanto, realizou-se, revisão de literatura sobre o ensino de geometria espacial, posteriormente foram aplicados dois questionários, um para os alunos egressos no assunto e outro para os professores da educação básica. Para a obtenção do total amostral foi utilizada a técnica de amostragem por conveniência, o que totalizou uma amostra de 100 alunos do 2º ano e do 3º ano do ensino médio e 41 professores. A análise dos dados foi realizada por meio da análise microgenética e da análise do discurso, as quais validaram o experimento realizado, pois apontaram como resultado os indícios de aprendizagem presentes entre alunos e professores participantes do experimento.
