Resumo: This study aimed to analyze mortality from accidents or accidents in the regions of Brazil, in the period from 2016 to 2020. For this, secondary data were collected on motorcycle accidents in Brazil that occurred between 2016 and 2020, where information was collected from the Mortality Information System (SIM) of the Informatics Department of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). The variables were: deaths by region, age group, gender and race. This information is available through the e-mail address. The data obtained by TABNET/DATASUS were tabulated and analyzed in excel version 2019. The results showed that during the period studied there were 58,660 deaths due to accidents involving motorcycles, of which 23,469 (40%) occurred in the Northeast region, being among the age group that obtained the highest number of deaths was 20 and 29 years and male. Therefore, it became clear the need to invest in education, because people need to understand that traffic rules exist to comply and respect for life is the most important factor to help reduce the number of such cases. Given these factors, more investment is needed in actions to improve the quality of public roads to improve the safety of the people who use them and the motorcyclists who transit on them daily.
