Homeopathy in the brazilian public health system in the last 15 years

Resumo: The general objective of this article was to carry out a survey on the use of homeopathy in the Brazilian public health system in the last 15 years. An integrative literature review was carried out using the following databases: Scielo (Scientific Electronic Library Online), LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences), VHL (Virtual Health Library) and PubMed (National Library of Medicine). ), articles from the last 15 years, where the search period was between December 2021 and February 2022. It was identified that 17% (2/12) of the studies interviewed students in the area and health professionals working in homeopathy at UBS for the purpose of to know about knowledge of homeopathy and performance in this area. 58% (7/12) of the works carried out interviews with users. Additionally, 25% (3/12) of the studies conducted interviews with municipal and state managers to assess their knowledge about homeopathy and the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices (PNPIC). In this way, homeopathy is one of the Integrative and Complementary Practices (PIC) that went through a long process for inclusion in the Brazilian public system, in comprehensive health care it is essential to report that there is also a need for public encouragement, not only from the private sector, in the training of medical and pharmaceutical professionals who understand the importance of this PIC, as well as the others provided for in the PNPIC in the SUS.

Se realizó una revisión integrativa de la literatura utilizando las siguientes bases de datos: Scielo (Biblioteca Científica Electrónica en Línea), LILACS (Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud), BVS (Biblioteca Virtual en Salud) y PubMed (Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina), artículos de los últimos 15 años, donde el período de búsqueda fue entre diciembre de 2021 y febrero de 2022. Se identificó que el 17% (2/12) de los estudios entrevistó a estudiantes del área y profesionales de la salud que actúan en homeopatía en la UBS con el propósito de saber sobre el conocimiento de la homeopatía y el desempeño en esta área. El 58% (7/12) de los trabajos realizan entrevistas a usuarios. Además, el 25% (3/12) de los estudios realizaron entrevistas a gestores municipales y estatales para evaluar su conocimiento sobre la homeopatía y la Política Nacional de Prácticas Integrativas y Complementarias (PNPIC). De esta manera, la homeopatía es una de las Prácticas Integradoras y Complementarias (PIC) que pasó por un largo proceso de inclusión en el sistema público brasileño, en la atención integral a la salud es fundamental informar que también hay necesidad de estímulo público, no únicamente del sector privado, en la formación de profesionales médicos y farmacéuticos que comprendan la importancia de este PIC, así como de los demás previstos en el PNPIC en el SUS.O objetivo geral do presente artigo foi realizar um levantamento sobre o uso da homeopatia no sistema público de saúde brasileiro nos últimos 15 anos. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa da literatura a partir das bases dados: Scielo (Scientific Eletronic Library Online), LILACS (Literatura Latino Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde), BVS (Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde) e PubMed (Biblioteca Nacional de Medicina), artigos dos últimos 15 anos, onde o período de busca foi entre dezembro de 2021 a fevereiro de 2022. Foram identificados que 17% (2/12) dos estudos entrevistaram estudantes da área e profissionais da saúde atuantes na homeopatia das UBS com finalidade de saber sobre conhecimento da homeopatia e da atuação nesta área.  58% (7/12) dos trabalhos realizaram entrevistas com usuários. Adicionalmente, 25% (3/12) dos estudos realizaram entrevistas com gestores municipais e estaduais para avaliar seus conhecimentos sobre homeopatia e a Política Nacional de Práticas Integrativas e Complementares (PNPIC).
