Resumo: This article aims to describe the risks of illness and suffering of teachers as a result of their work. The specific objectives are summarized in exposing the teachers' malaise and aggravating the teachers' mental health; score risk factors that corroborate the illness; to present the bibliographic findings of the factors that cause teachers to become ill. To meet the objectives, a narrative review was defined as a methodology, whose premise is to generate new knowledge of the object studied. To tend to the narrative, a description of the problem was made using research published in journals. The results showed that illness is considered a social phenomenon in the western world, triggered by different factors that may be related to physical, chemical, biological, mechanical factors, including social, economic, technological and organizational conditions, which together imply factors considered Psychosocial Risks.

Los objetivos específicos se resumen en exponer el malestar de los docentes y agravar la salud mental de los docentes; puntuar los factores de riesgo que corroboren la enfermedad; presentar los hallazgos bibliográficos de los factores que provocan que los docentes se enfermen. Para cumplir con los objetivos se definió como metodología una revisión narrativa, cuya premisa es generar nuevo conocimiento del objeto estudiado. Para tender a la narrativa, se realizó una descripción del problema a partir de investigaciones publicadas en revistas. Los resultados mostraron que la enfermedad es considerada un fenómeno social en el mundo occidental, desencadenada por diferentes factores que pueden estar relacionados con factores físicos, químicos, biológicos, mecánicos, incluyendo condiciones sociales, económicas, tecnológicas y organizacionales, que en su conjunto implican factores considerados como Riesgos Psicosociales.Este artigo tem como objetivo descrever os riscos de adoecimento e sofrimento de professores em decorrência do seu trabalho. Os objetivos específicos se resumem em expor o mal-estar docente e agravante à saúde mental dos professores; pontuar fatores de risco que corroboram com o adoecimento; apresentar os achados bibliográficos dos fatores que causam adoecimento de professores. Para atender os objetivos foi definido como metodologia realizar uma revisão narrativa, que tem como premissa gerar novos conhecimentos do objeto estudado. Para tender a narrativa foi feita uma descrição do problema utilizando-se de pesquisas publicadas em periódicos.
