Resumo: Objective: to reflect on patient safety standing out their recognition for ethics in nursing care. Method: This is a reflective study about content essential for patient safety; Highlighted for: Axel Honneth's safety culture and recognition. Results: By recognizing their values and capacity, subjects tend to raise their self-esteem and motivate themselves to exercise their autonomy. Self-esteem, awareness of the recognition of human beings in their dignity, and rights to decent treatment with less risk contribute to the development of professionals who are more interested in offering qualified and safe services. Conclusion: It was concluded that this perspective reflects, among nursing professionals, a concern with the recognition of users, and the duty not to cause harm to the patient in the practice of professional practice.

Método: este es un estudio reflexivo sobre el contenido esencial para la seguridad del paciente; Destacado: cultura y reconocimiento de seguridad de Axel Honneth. Resultados: Al reconocer sus valores y habilidades, los sujetos tienden a aumentar su autoestima y a motivarse para ejercer su autonomía. La autoestima, la conciencia del reconocimiento de los seres humanos en su dignidad y los derechos a un trato decente con menos riesgo contribuyen al desarrollo de profesionales más interesados en ofrecer servicios calificados y seguros. Conclusión: se concluyó que esta perspectiva refleja, entre los profesionales de enfermería, una preocupación por el reconocimiento de los usuarios y el deber de no causar daño al paciente en la práctica profesional.Objetivo: refletir sobre a segurança do paciente em que pese seu reconhecimento para a ética nos cuidados de enfermagem. Método: trata-se de um estudo reflexivo acerca de aspectos essenciais para a segurança do paciente; em destaque: a cultura de segurança e a teoria do reconhecimento de Axel Honneth. Resultados: ao reconhecer seus valores e capacidades, os sujeitos tendem a elevar sua autoestima e motivar-se para o exercício de sua autonomia. A autoestima, a consciência do reconhecimento dos seres humanos em sua dignidade, os direitos a tratamento digno com menos riscos, contribuem para o aperfeiçoamento de profissionais que se encontrem mais interessados em oferecer serviços qualificados e seguros.
