Resumo: | Introduction: this article sought to carry out a literature review regarding the conceptualization of celiac disease and its clinical manifestations, to describe the nutritional therapy recommended by the nutritionist and to verify the psychosocial impacts generated in the life of the celiac patient after diagnosis. Objective: The general objective of the article was to evaluate the nutritional status of patients with celiac disease and the relationship with nutritional therapy in improving quality of life. Methodology: consists of an integrative review, for this review, a search was performed for articles, books, dissertations and theses in the databases SCOPUS, Lilacs, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Scielo, Science Direct, Free Medical Journal, Pubmed/ Medline, CAPES portal journals and a virtual library on health and books. Results and Discussion: Celiac disease is an autoimmune pathology that affects the small intestine of adults and children, caused by the ingestion of foods that contain gluten, that is, a protein present in rye, wheat, oats, barley and malt (by-product of barley). The celiac must always be aware of the nutritional information that make up each food. Conclusion: The treatment of this disease consists of avoiding foods that contain gluten, thus making the role of the nutritionist paramount in terms of adequate nutritional guidance and predisposition to obesity and the development of chronic non-communicable diseases. in adult life. |

Objetivo: El objetivo general del artículo fue evaluar el estado nutricional de los pacientes con enfermedad celíaca y la relación de la terapia nutricional en la mejora de la calidad de vida. Metodología: consiste en una revisión integradora, para esta revisión se realizó una búsqueda de artículos, libros, disertaciones y tesis en las bases de datos SCOPUS, Lilacs, Web of Science, Google Scholar, Scielo, Science Direct, Free Medical Journal, Pubmed/ Medline, revistas del portal CAPES y una biblioteca virtual sobre salud y libros. Resultados y Discusión: La enfermedad celíaca es una patología autoinmune que afecta el intestino delgado de adultos y niños, provocada por la ingesta de alimentos que contienen gluten, es decir, una proteína presente en el centeno, el trigo, la avena, la cebada y la malta (subproducto de cebada). El celíaco siempre debe estar pendiente de la información nutricional que componen cada alimento. Conclusión: El tratamiento de esta enfermedad consiste en evitar los alimentos que contienen gluten, por lo que el papel del nutricionista es primordial en cuanto a una adecuada orientación nutricional.Introdução: o presente artigo buscou realizar uma revisão bibliográfica referente a conceituar a doença celiaca e suas manifestações clinicas, descrever a terapia nutricional recomendada pelo nutricionista e verificar os impactos psicossociais gerados na vida no paciente celíaco após o diagnóstico. Objetivo: O objetivo geral do artigo foi avaliar o estado nutricional do paciente portador de doença celíaca e a relação com a terapia nutricional na melhoria da qualidade de vida. Metodologia: consiste em uma revisão integrativa, para essa revisão, foi realizada uma busca por artigos, livros, dissertações e teses nas bases de dados SCOPUS, Lilacs, Web of Science, Google Acadêmico, Scielo, Science Direct, Free Medical Journal, Pubmed/Medline, periódicos portais da CAPES e biblioteca virtual em saúde e livros. Resultados e Discussão: A doença celíaca é uma patologia autoimune que afeta o intestino delgado de adultos e crianças, ocasionada pela ingestão de alimentos que contenham glúten, ou seja, uma proteína presente no centeio, trigo, aveia, cevada e malte (subproduto da cevada). O celíaco deve sempre estar atento às informações nutricionais que compõem cada alimento.
