Motor coordination: quality of elderly movement

Resumo: | Aging is an irreversible event in the individual, in which there are significant losses that influence the quality of life. Motor coordination is one of the losses that brings dependence and harms the life of the elderly. Therefore, this study is a bibliographic review based on articles and books, with the objective of defining, classifying motor coordination and pointing out the benefits of physical activity in the elderly. For the same, the themes were used as descriptors: elderly, motor coordination, physical exercises and movement. Initially, a search was carried out in the Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Google Scholar and periodical books databases. This review classified and pointed out the importance of motor coordination for the elderly and the impact of physical activity on them. Therefore, it is concluded in this work that the motor coordination starts from birth and goes through the years, and must be stimulated so that there is a harmony in the movements, the practice of physical activity helps in the improvement of coordination, and especially the elderly need to improve quality of life and autonomy in aging. |

La coordinación motora es una de las pérdidas que trae dependencia y perjudica la vida de las personas mayores. Por lo tanto, este estudio es una revisión bibliográfica basada en artículos y libros, con el objetivo de definir, clasificar la coordinación motora y señalar los beneficios de la actividad física en los ancianos. Para lo mismo, se utilizaron como descriptores los temas: anciano, coordinación motora, ejercicios físicos y movimiento. Inicialmente se realizó una búsqueda en las bases de datos de Literatura Latinoamericana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Google Scholar y de libros periódicos. Esta revisión clasificó y señaló la importancia de la coordinación motora para los ancianos y el impacto de la actividad física en ellos. Por lo tanto, se concluye en este trabajo que la coordinación motriz inicia desde el nacimiento y va a lo largo de los años, y debe ser estimulada para que exista una armonía en los movimientos, la práctica de actividad física ayuda en la mejora de la coordinación, y en especial la los ancianos necesitan mejorar la calidad de vida y la autonomía en el envejecimiento.O envelhecer é um acontecimento irreversível no indivíduo, no qual existem perdas significativas que influenciam na qualidade de vida. A coordenação motora é uma das perdas que traz dependência e prejudica a vida do idoso. Portanto este estudo é uma revisão bibliográfica com base em artigos e livros, tendo por objetivo foi definir, classificar coordenação motora e apontar os benefícios da atividade física em idosos. Para o mesmo foi utilizado como descritores os temas: idoso, coordenação motora, exercícios físicos e movimento. Inicialmente realizou-se a busca nos bancos de dados Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO), Google Acadêmico e em livros periódicos. Esta revisão classificou e apontou qual importância da coordenação motora para o idoso e o impacto da atividade física no mesmo.
