Impact of the pandemic on the bakery market: from the perspective of a factory in Teresina

Resumo: | The bakery industry is a segment that operates in almost all cities in the country, and just like most economic sectors, it also suffered from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic, facing challenges such as the SELIC that makes access to credit more expensive, DOLÁR which impacts on commodity prices, COVID which is causing a collapse in the world economy and IPCA which reflects on product inflation. Thus, this study aims to demonstrate how the pandemic impacted product sales in the bakery sector. A quantitative research was then carried out to analyze the sales behavior of a company that operates in the segment. In view of this, a cross-section was carried out for analysis and interpretation of data through two regressions using the Shapire -Wilker test, where it was possible to conclude that the bakery market has been showing a constant process of recovery in the market. |

Por lo tanto, este estudio tiene como objetivo demostrar cómo la pandemia impactó en las ventas de productos en el sector de la panadería. Luego se realizó una investigación cuantitativa para analizar el comportamiento de ventas de una empresa que actúa en el segmento. Ante esto, se realizó un corte transversal para el análisis e interpretación de datos a través de dos regresiones utilizando la prueba de Shapire -Wilker, donde se pudo concluir que el mercado de panadería viene mostrando un constante proceso de recuperación en el mercado.A indústria da panificação é um segmento que opera em quase todas as cidades do país, e assim como na maioria dos setores econômicos também sofreu com os efeitos da pandemia do coronavírus, enfrentando desafios como a SELIC que torna o acesso ao crédito mais caro, DOLÁR que impacta no preço das commodities, COVID que está causando um colapso na economia mundial e IPCA que reflete na inflação dos produtos. Dessa forma, esse estudo tem como objetivo demonstrar como a pandemia impactou nas vendas de produtos junto ao setor de panificação. Realizou-se, então, uma pesquisa quantitativa para analisar o comportamento de vendas de uma empresa que atua no segmento.
