Repercussions of the ACOLHER extension program in the training of students extensionists

Resumo: | Introduction: The training of nurses today raises the need for new training paths, in which the integration of teaching and extension is shown to be a favorable strategy for professional training. Objective: To understand how the integration of teaching and extension has had an impact on the training of extension students in the ACOLHER Program. Method: This is an exploratory study with a qualitative approach. The setting was the ACOLHER Extension Program, with nine students participating in the study, two scholarship holders and seven volunteers, members of the program, with data collection through a focus group. Results: For extension workers, the integration of teaching and extension is favorable to the improvement of the knowledge learned at the University and allows the exercise of autonomy, responsibility and interpersonal relationships. They consider the nursing consultation favorable to the practice of the nursing process and regarding the playful activities they allow the improvement of the pedagogical conceptions and group processes that involve health education. Final considerations: Extramural activities, like extension projects, are favorable spaces for academic training when considering autonomy, initiative, critical-reflexive action and overcoming fragmented teaching as beacons for the performance of students in Proposed activities. |

Objetivo: Comprender cómo la integración de la docencia y la extensión ha impactado en la formación de los estudiantes de extensión en el Programa ACOLHER. Método: Se trata de un estudio exploratorio con enfoque cualitativo. El escenario fue el Programa de Extensión ACOLHER, con nueve estudiantes participando en el estudio, dos becarios y siete voluntarios, miembros del programa, con recolección de datos a través de un grupo focal. Resultados: Para los extensionistas, la integración de la docencia y la extensión es favorable al mejoramiento de los conocimientos aprendidos en la Universidad y permite el ejercicio de la autonomía, la responsabilidad y las relaciones interpersonales. Consideran la consulta de enfermería favorable a la práctica del proceso de enfermería y en cuanto a las actividades lúdicas permiten el perfeccionamiento de las concepciones pedagógicas y procesos grupales que involucran la educación en salud. Consideraciones finales: Las actividades extramuros, como los proyectos de extensión, son espacios propicios para la formación académica al considerar la autonomía, la iniciativa, la acción crítico-reflexiva y la superación de la enseñanza fragmentada como balizas para el desempeño de los estudiantes en Actividades propuestas.Introdução: A formação do Enfermeiro na atualidade coloca em pauta a necessidade de novos percursos formativos, nos quais a integração ensino-extensão mostra-se como uma estratégia favorável a formação profissional. Objetivo: Compreender de que forma a integração ensino e extensão tem repercutido na formação de estudantes extensionistas do Programa ACOLHER. Método: Trata-se de um estudo exploratório com abordagem qualitativa. O cenário foi o Programa de Extensão ACOLHER, tendo como participantes do estudo nove discentes, sendo dois bolsistas e sete voluntários, membros do programa, com a coleta de dados através de um grupo focal. Resultados: Para os/as extensionistas a integração ensino-extensão é favorável ao aprimoramento dos saberes apreendidos na Universidade e permite o exercício da autonomia, da responsabilidade e da relação interpessoal. Consideram a consulta de Enfermagem favorável à prática do processo de enfermagem e quanto às atividades lúdicas permitem o aprimoramento das concepções pedagógicas e processos grupais que envolvem a educação em saúde.
