Resumo: The Federal Institutes of Education, Science and Technology, implemented in 2008, integrate professional education and high school based on the ideal of Full Human Formation of the subjects. In this sense, the present work has as object of study the anxiety in students of the Integrated High School of a Federal Institute of Education. Recent research addresses the methodologies, extensive workload and curriculum structure as possible contributors to anxiety disorders in adolescent students of Integrated High School. In this way, this research sought to identify the results of an Intervention Group, based on Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), for the Management of anxiety in students of Integrated High School. This is a cross-sectional, quantitative study. The Hamilton anxiety assessment scale - HAM-A was used as an instrument for data collection and evaluation of the intervention performed. Twelve students from Integrated High School at IFNMG - Campus Januária participated in psychoeducational activities, cognitive restructuring and behavioral changes. As a result of this research, it was concluded that the Anxiety Intervention and Management Group was efficient in reducing the anxiety level of 92% of the participants. As a suggestion for future work, it is suggested the creation of a standard intervention protocol for anxiety disorders in EMI students, to be used by school psychologists, in order to promote emotional support to students in this teaching modality and, consequently, contribute to the well-being, learning, mental health and comprehensive human education of these students.

Research, Society and Development2020-09-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/645710.33448/rsd-v9i10.6457Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 No. 10; e3789106457Research, Society and Development; Vol. 9 Núm. 10; e3789106457Research, Society and Development; v. 9 n. 10; e37891064572525-3409reponame:Research, Society and Developmentinstname:Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)instacron:UNIFEIporhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/article/view/6457/7711Copyright (c) 2020 Dalila Pereira Soares, Rosiney Rocha Almeidahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessSoares, Dalila PereiraAlmeida, Rosiney Rocha2020-10-31T12:03:23Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/6457Revistahttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/indexPUBhttps://rsdjournal.org/index.php/rsd/oairsd.articles@gmail.com2525-34092525-3409opendoar:2024-01-17T09:29:34.946390Research, Society and Development - Universidade Federal de Itajubá (UNIFEI)false
