Lived memories, felt stories in the Americas and Africa: the invention of a Community

Resumo: | This article analyzes the invention of a Community Museum with students from the University of International Integration of Afro-Brazilian Lusophony (UNILAB) in Ceará. This experience was lived from the curricular component Literacy, Literacy and Bilingualism in the Countries of Integration, in the Pedagogy Course. The initiative aimed to problematize the processes of non-formal, informal education and the schooling of students and their ancestors, based on lived memories and felt stories in the Americas and in Africa, in the communities that are part of the South-South solidarity cooperation. We revisited the systematized experiences of community museums, the autobiographical literature of childhood and schooling, from Brazilian and African writers and we chose as categories of analysis the felt history, lived memory, time, space, educations and literacy. The qualitative, descriptive-analytical study focuses on autobiographical and biographical research, with emphasis on 21 student narratives, 3 from Guinea and 18 from Brazil. As data collection procedures, we highlight participant observation, iconographic record, individual assessment of pedagogical practice and portfolios. The dialogue between students provided a subjective and collective interpretation on the importance of rescuing ancestry in the process of teacher education and the performance of future educators in school and non-school spaces. |

Esta experiencia se vivió desde el componente curricular de Alfabetización, Alfabetización y Bilingüismo en Países de Integración y no desde un Curso de Pedagogía. La iniciativa tuvo como objetivo discutir los procesos de educación no formal, informal y la escolarización de los alumnos y sus antepasados de vívidos recuerdos e historias experimentadas en las Américas y las Áfricas, en las comunidades que forman parte de la colaboración solidaria Sur-Sur. Revisamos las experiencias sistematizadas de los museos comunitarios, la literatura autobiográfica de la infancia y la escolarización, de escritores brasileños y africanos, y elegimos como categorías de análisis la historia sentida, la memoria vivida, el tiempo, el espacio, la educación y la alfabetización. El estudio cualitativo, del tipo descriptivo-analítico, se centra en la investigación autobiográfica y biográfica, con énfasis en 21 narrativas de estudiantes, 3 de Guinea Bissau y 18 de Brasil. Como procedimientos de recolección de datos, destacamos la observación participante, el registro iconográfico, la evaluación individual de la práctica pedagógica y las carteras. El diálogo entre los estudiantes proporcionó una interpretación subjetiva y colectiva sobre la importancia de rescatar a los ancestros en el proceso de formación docente y el desempeño de futuros educadores en espacios escolares y no escolares.Este artigo analisa a invenção de um Museu Comunitário com alunos da Universidade da Integração Internacional da Lusofonia Afro-Brasileira (UNILAB) no Ceará. Esta experiência foi vivida a partir da componente curricular Alfabetização, Letramento e Bilinguismo nos Países da Integração no Curso de Pedagogia. A iniciativa teve como objetivo problematizar os processos de educação não-formal, informal e da escolarização dos discentes e seus antepassados, a partir de memórias vividas e histórias sentidas nas Américas e nas Áfricas, nas comunidades que fazem parte da cooperação solidária Sul-Sul. Revisitamos as experiências sistematizadas de museus comunitários, a literatura autobiográfica da infância e escolarização, a partir de escritores brasileiros e africanos e elegemos como categorias de análise a história sentida, memória vivida, tempo, espaço, educações e alfabetização. O estudo de natureza qualitativa, do tipo descritivo-analítico, centra-se na pesquisa autobiográfica e biográfica, com destaque para 21 narrativas de discentes, sendo 3 guineenses e 18 brasileiros. Como procedimentos de coleta de dados, destacamos a observação participante, registro iconográfico, avaliação individual da prática pedagógica e portfólios.
