Systematization of experiences and university extension: the freirean praxis experienced by the “Word Culture and Mental Health” project of the Federal University of São Paulo

Resumo: Freirian praxis has been experienced in the Extension Project “Word Culture and Mental Health” of the Federal University of São Paulo, since 2016, in teaching/learning and mental health care processes in 4 Psychosocial Care Centers (CAPS) at city ​​of Santos/SP. Based on Freire's concepts of reading the world, dialogicity, circles of culture and awareness, this article presents the systematization of experiences throughout 2020. The systematization process carried out, inspired by the classic book “To systematize experiences” (JARA, 1996), enabled the subjects involved to have a better understanding of the work carried out, the problematization of the practice of educators, analysis of the relationship between educators, students and services, and the construction of knowledge in popular education.

A partir dos conceitos freirianos de leitura de mundo, dialogicidade, círculo de cultura e conscientização, este artigo apresenta a sistematização das experiências vividas ao longo do ano de 2020. O processo de sistematização realizado, inspirado no clássico livro “Para sistematizar experiências” (JARA, 1996), possibilitou aos sujeitos envolvidos uma melhor compreensão do trabalho realizado, a problematização da prática dos(as) educadores(as), análise da relação entre educadores(as), educandos(as) e serviços, e a construção de conhecimentos a partir da educação popular.
