Resumo: Socially, it is common to resort to colors to characterize and distinguish boys and girls. This even occurs in school spaces, where, it turns out, education is in dispute and the crusades and resistance to this theme, permeate, among many elements, the colors. Who is afraid of pink, and why? This article, methodologically bibliographic, aims to investigate the gender relations proposed to boys and girls, in educational and school environments, from the color pink. To achieve this, two topics are presented. In the first, it focuses on research in Cultural Studies that verifies how, in school contexts of Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, boys and girls relate to the color pink. In the second, the pejorative relationship that has been made between the color pink and homosexuality is explained, referring to the identification system adopted by German Nazism, and exemplifying how it still appears in everyday situations. Finally, it is analyzed that there is a doubly negative association in relation to the color pink and I emphasize the damage that, from education, this causes to the development of children.
